Aecon Nuclear works closely with clients and
suppliers to establish safety programs and
safe work execution training activities at our
dedicated training facility in Cambrige, Ontario.
Geared to employees, subcontractors and
suppliers, our facility provides computer-based
training, mock-up rehearsals, and state-ofthe-art simulation and human performance
training. Experienced trainers focus on a
behaviour-based approach, with an emphasis
on behaviours that produce the most positive
results. Our trainers work to ensure all trainees
fully understand these behaviours, and provide
ongoing support to all through consistent
monitoring and evaluation to ensure these
behaviours are retained.

NUCLEAR MANUFACTURING
With our 120,000 square foot ASME N-Stamp certified
manufacturing and fabrication facility in Cambridge, Ontario, Aecon
Nuclear is uniquely positioned to meet the demands of todays most
complex nuclear assignments. Our facility features customized
equipment that ranges in size from large, fabricated modules to
Class-1 components for all nuclear projects. Operating this equipment
is our highly skilled, extensively trained staff, who work with both
fully automatic and semi-automatic machines to ensure consistent,
precise work. Aecons in-house customized computer software
applications enable real-time tracking of each manufacturing project
stage, direct from the manufacturing floor. Our on-site post-weld
heat treatment (PWHT) furnace and paint blasting/coating facility
offers complete control over the quality of the final product, while
enhancing our ability to deliver projects on time.

facilities. Accredited by ASME, the
N-Stamp is the nuclear industrys
confirmation that our manufacturing
facility provides clients with the
processes and procedures required
to meet global nuclear fabrication
requirements. Every single aspect of
the manufacturing process from
design to material procurement to
fabrication and on to shipping is
meticulously controlled. Every step is
completed in sequence according to a
standard procedure, and every step is

approved, signed off and documented

in intricate detail. We are proud of

N285 series are applicable to CANDU
nuclear power plants in Canada
and meet the requirements of the
ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel
Code. Consistent with the Nuclear
Safety and Control Act and its
Regulations, the N285 series also
specifies set requirements for the
design, fabrication, installation, quality
assurance and inspection of pressureretaining components and supports.
The N285 series also establishes rules
for the inspection of pressure-retaining
components in CANDU nuclear power
plants.
