________3. 11C

________4. 16D

________5. 7E

C. Review/Recall

The teacher will group the students into three (3). They will play
the game charades. The teacher will call three (3) volunteer each
group, they will actualize the three (3) Laws of Motion and their
groupmates will guess it.

Group 1 – Law of inertia

Group 2 – Law of Acceleration

Group 3 - Law of Interaction

D. Motivation

The teacher will simulate a simple experiment about kinetic and

potential energy.

After that, the teacher will call three(3) students to do the simulation.
Discussion of safety precautions will follow.

Guide Question:
1. Why our improvised pendulum didn’t hit our chin? Is there
any problem with this pendulum?
2. Do you think this pendulum use only one energy?
3. What are those types of energy?

Answers:

1. The pendulum is losing energy

2. The pendulum uses two types of energy’s
3. Potential and Kinetic energy

Stored Energy Not moving

Increases based onposition/height

Type of energy Transform into another type of energy

Energy in motion Increases as motion increases

D. Application

Direction: Observe the following pictures of some sports that are

using potential and kinetic energy. Determine also where the
potential and kinetic energy are.

Pole vault

Swimming
