Applications of holders of a non UAE High School Certificate, obtained abroad, are processed in accordance with decrees No. 200/2004 and 312/2004 of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, UAE as
follows: In general, holders of the National High School Certificate of a foreign country are eligible for admission if:
Original Copy of the General Secondary School Certificate, attested by the UAE Ministry of Education
with a minimum score average 60%
1. The certificate is considered for admissions in public universities of the Country where it was delivered,
2. The certificate was obtained after at least 11 years of schooling,
3. The certificate includes at least six (6) subjects covering the four areas: Mathematics, Sciences, Languages, and Social Sciences & Humanities or Arts.

Holders of American High School Diploma:
High School Diploma (grade 10, 11 & 12) attested by the UAE Ministry of Education with a minimum
GPA of 2.00
Holders of British System Certificate (IGCSE, GCSE):
The minimum required for university admission is a total of seven (7) courses at either O-level or AS/
A2 level, with a minimum grade of C for the O-level, D for the AS and: E for A2

o TOEFL PBT scored at 500 or above, (The TOEFL PBT can be taken at any of the accredited
higher education institutions in UAE).

o IELTS Academic scored at 5.0 or above.
o The Cambridge Test of advanced English, scored at 154 or above.
o The City & Guilds International Test of English for Speakers of Other Languages ESOL
(IESOL), scored at B1/B2 or above.
o The Pearson test of English Academic (PTE Academic), scored at 44 or above.
Applicants for Bachelor of Public Relation (Arabic) should provide a valid copy of the
following.
o TOEFL PBT scored at 450 or above, (The TOEFL PBT can be taken at any of the accredited
higher education institutions in UAE).
o TOEFL iBT, scored at 35 or above.
o IELTS Academic scored at 4.5 or above.
o The Cambridge Test of Advanced English, scored 147 or above.
o The City & Guilds International Test of English for Speakers of Other Languages ESOL
