Trigger: node at each end of a two-way trunk attempts to set uo a call over THE
SAME BEARER at THE SAME TIME
What to do when circuit glare happens? One node must back down and give
control to the other end. Two methods are commonly used to decide which end
should take control:
- Higher-numbered point code takes control of even CICs, lower-numbered point
codes takes control of odd CICs
- Prior agreement between two nodes about which end will back down when
glare occurs
Avoiding glare: trunk selection algorithm
- Ascending Vs Descending, Most idle Vs Least idle, Even vs Odd
