Aims:- to present the students new vocabulary items
-to give the students practice of the newly achieved items of speech
-to give students practice of the listening skills

GREETING
PROCEDURE: The teacher and the students sing together the morning song HELLO.
TIMING: 3 minutes
WARMER
PROCEDURE: The teacher review the food words using pictures. The teacher holds them at a
time behind her back for students to guess. As they guess, the teacher sticks the pictures on the
board.

ACTIVITY 1- Presentation of new vocabulary (I like...; I don't like)
AIM:-to present the students new vocabulary items
PROCEDURE: The teacher points out one image and say I like, e.g. chocolate, ice cream.
They're really yummy. Mmm, I like them. The teacher rubs her tummy. The teacher puts a big
smiley face under the group of images. Then the teacher says Ooh, I don't like, e.g. oranges, fish.
I don't like them. They aren't yummy. The teacher makes a disgusted face and puts a big sad face
under the group of images.
Then the teacher sticks a smiley face on the board and under it sticks an image with a cake and
another one with burger. The students have to associate with the previous exercise and say I like
cake. I like burger. Then the teacher sticks a disgusted face on the boar and near it sticks an
image with an apple and another one with a banana. The students have to say I don't like apple. I
don't like banana.

ACTIVITY 2- Practice
AIM: -to give students practice of the vocabulary items presented
-to give students practice of the listening skills
PROCEDURE:
Pre-listening: The teacher says to the students to open the books at page 74. The students have
to look at the pictures and listen. The teacher asks What cake is it?
While-listening: The teacher plays the CD and the students listen.
After-listening: The teacher checks with the class(the answer is banana cake). The teacher plays
the CD again and check out comprehension. The teacher asks the students who said, for e.g. I'm
making a cake. The students answer should be Stella! The teacher repeats with other phrases
from the listening, e.g. I like chocolate cake. I really like Maskman cake.

ACTIVITY 3 Practice
AIM: -to give students practice of the vocabulary items presented
PROCEDURE: The teacher plays the CD again. Students do actions as they listen:
I like - rub their stomachs and smile.
I don't like - expressions of disgust.

ACTIVITY 4- Practice
AIM: -to give students practice of the vocabulary items presented
PROCEDURE: The teacher says Now listen and repeat. The teacher plays the CD. The teacher
pause for students to repeat. The teacher makes sure students use a rising tone for the questions.

PROCEDURE:
Pre-listening: The teacher says Open your books at page 75, please. The teacher elicits what
food students can see on the page. The teacher says Listen and point to the food.
While-listening: The teacher plays the CD. The students listen and point.
After-listening: The teacher plays the CD again and this time the teacher pause after each
exchange, e.g. Do you like bananas? Yes, yes, yes, for students to repeat.

ACTIVITY 6 Production
AIM: - to develop students creative skills
PROCEDURE: The teacher displays eight food flashcards that the students have to match and
result four flashcards food(an apple, a banana, a cake and a chocolate). The teacher displays also
two paper sheets for every students, one has on the top a smiley face and the other one a
disgusted face. The students have to glue the food they like on the smiley face paper sheet and
the food they don't like on the disgusted face paper sheet.
