NETWORKING WITH ROUTER

Router is a networking device that forwards data packets between computer

networks. Routers perform the traffic directing functions on the Internet. A
data packet is typically forwarded from one router to another through the
networks that constitute the internetwork until it reaches its destination
node.
A router has basically network connection, and an additional wireless
connection (Wi-Fi)
1. WAN port (Ingoing port)
Port that connects to the Wide Area Network (e.g. Internet) or to
another Local Area Network (LAN).
2. ONE OR MORE LAN PORT (Outgoing port)
Port that will connect to the Local Area Network
