FORMULATION TIPS
Sensomer CI-50 polymer is an easy-to-use liquid,
requiring no hydrating or heating in formulations.
It contains sodium chloride and has shown a
tendency to increase the viscosity of shampoo and
liquid cleansing products.
For best clarity when formulating liquid cleansing
products, it is recommended to add Sensomer
CI-50 polymer in the beginning of the batch
followed by a betaine or an amphoteric surfactant.
Anionic surfactant or surfactant blends can be
added later. Order of addition of formulation
ingredients can also be adjusted to help achieve
clarity.
In emulsion systems, Sensomer CI-50 polymer
can be added to the water phase or after
emulsification. Avoid high mixing speeds.
Should be added at temperature <40C.
