1- RACHEL BOSTON IS A LONDON

BORN AND BASED JEWELLERY
DESIGNER AND MAKER.
Boston graduated in Jewellery Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and continued to study
at the Gemological Institute of America in New York where she received her diploma in Diamond Grading.
Her signature aesthetic of pure and strong forms looks to nature and the realms of magic and high fashion, to
celebrate both the beautiful and the damned. Her fashion collections The Protector and the 'The Ritual'
demonstrated this with a re-imagining of beetles, scorpions, talismanic teeth and seeds; taking their organic,
sometimes aggressive forms and infusing them with sophistication and rock n roll.
Launching her fine jewellery collection RUNES, Boston has been inspired by the Runic alphabet; reinterpreting
these ancient symbols and their meanings into fashion forward pieces of modern luxury. Handcrafted in 18kt gold,
and working with precious stones, 'RUNES' features unique and timeless designs. From hinged diamond rings to
white sapphire ear cuffs the collection is for the inspiring woman who likes her luxury with understated edge.
Bostons capsule collection COSMOS features one of a kind pieces made using large rose cut diamond slices
which were specifically chosen for their remarkable inclusions and cut. In honour of the beauty that can be found
within the imperfect, the pieces are inspired by the character of the slices themselves.
The jewellery is created in her workshops in the creative hub of East London, and in the capital of stone cutting;
Jaipur. Boston maintains an emphasis on craftsmanship, artistry and luxury sourcing through only trusted local
suppliers. Fusing modern and traditional making techniques, emphasis is on hand fabrication, which is integral to
achieving products of both high quality and raw originality.
Since the brands launch, Boston has been nominated for New Designer of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards,
named by Elle and Harper's Bazaar as a designer you need to know and featured as a NEXGEM in the Hot 100
Awards by Professional Jeweller magazine. Boston was also the youngest of seven designers chosen to take part in
the unique exhibition Made in London: Jewellery Now at the Museum of London which showcased the work of
'the most talented jewellers working in London today'.
