COLUMBA CATHOLIC CHURCH

September 25, 2016
Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Pastors Corner
My dear brothers and sisters,
This will be my last article in this corner. As I
have said last weekend, I have mixed feelings on
my transfer of assignment this soon. On one
hand, at least I know the parish and its
parishioners that I am transferring to. On the
other hand, I am sad because of a lot of
unfinished work that I will be leaving. But as the
passage in the Scriptures goes, "someone will
plant, another will water and yet another may do
the harvesting". However, we are assured that
life will not just go on, but will continue to thrive
and flourish because God oversees us all.

To our parents of young

children, relax! God put
the wiggle in children;
dont feel you have to
suppress it in Gods house.
You and your children are
always welcome.
You can help your children
appreciate the Mass more
by sitting near the front,
singing and praying with
the congregation, and
quietly explaining what is
happening when they ask.
Need more of a break? Childcare is available at the 9:30
Mass. Also, our family room is available at all the
Masses.
The presence of children is a gift to the Church and they
are a reminder that our parish is growing. Please
welcome our children and give a smile of encouragement
to their parents.
As Jesus said, Let the children come to me.
