Authors Note: Democracy and fascism cannot occupy the same space. A country is either one
or the other. People are either one or the other. The article is long because the documentation
needs to reflect that gravity.
Background:
When we think of a coup or regime change there is usually a face or a group to peg it on. Ukraine
was taken over by Ukrainian nationalists; we can see them. What I am going to describe is a
faceless, nameless takeover that was based on ideology only. What if it didnt matter who the next
leader was but the ideological foundation was forever changed?
With the beginning of the Cold War, then president Truman partially legitimized the OUN. Had
Truman known the turn this would soon take, would he have done it?
According to Jonathan Levy (The Intermarium-Wilson, Madison, & East Central European
Federalism), a member of the International Criminal Bar in the Hague who holds a Ph.D in
political Science and has taught terrorism and diplomatic thery at Norwich University:
In 1949, CIA Director, Admiral Roscoe Hillenkoetter in a letter to the Chairman of the
Displaced Persons Committee made official a change in policy towards the OUN. He
acknowledged that while the organization had collaborated with the Nazis during the Second
World War, its members were to be considered solely as anti-Soviets able to find common
ground with new partners. The CIA Director did warn, however, that the Bandera faction was
made up of extreme nationalists. This reclassification as anti-Soviet (better known as anticommunist) paved the way for a quiet nationalist invasion of the United States.

Bandera is a term I use loosely these days. In reality there were over 2,000 groups that worked
under the auspices of Banderas ABN (Anti-Bolshevik Nations), and today in America Bandera is
the UCCA (Ukrainian Congressional Committee of America). Far flung groups today in
Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, and the greater horn of Africa have long been part of the greater ABN
community. Many of these groups, because they are so many and varied, dont even recognize
each other at first sight. The Muslim Brotherhood is just one example. Al Qaeda and the Taliban
are two more. All of these were helped by Yaroslav Stetskos Bandera ABN through the UCCA in
America. The common bond appears when the religious veneer is stripped away. Take away the
Muslim part and you are left with an ultra nationalist (fascist) politics.
The problem with the ABN, according to the CIC (Command Intelligence Center, or Army
Counter Intelligence), was that it was a tool of the Bandera faction of OUN (Organization of
UKrainian Nationalists). An April 1946 extract by the CIC found OUN/B or the Bandera gang to
be nationalistic, anti-Soviet and anti-American as well as anti-Semitic and involved with criminal
activity and espionage. It was noted that many former SS men were members.(ibid)
If this conclusion could be reached as part of American history, in which an emigre group
gradually assimilated into our democratic society, that would be one thing. They never
did. According to their own documents: In 1980, the Ukrainian Congress Committee
of America was taken over by the OUN(B) and thus ceased to represent the Ukrainian community
as a whole. The power and influence of the OUN factions have been declining steadily due to
assimilation pressures, ideological incompatibility with the Western liberal-democratic ethos, and
the increasing tendency of political groups in Ukraine to move away from integral nationalism.
It is clear that by 1980 the OUN-ABN-UCCA had set their sites on larger things than Ukraine.
They accomplished what General John Hackett, Commander of NATOs Northern Army Group,
and good friend of Yaroslav Stetsko envisioned in 1988 could be done to the Soviet Union, doing
it to the USA instead: infiltrate and conquer.
Cold War Containment vs Annihilation
After WWII, the US adopted a policy of containment vis a vis the socialist USSR, through
diplomacy and the spread of democracy across the world. This meant gaining influence in the
regions over which the Soviet Union had influence. Diplomacy was putting Americas best foot
forward across the world and in the Soviet Union too.
Containment also meant respecting the territorial integrity of the USSR. Ultimately it meant
having enough faith in our form of democracy, with its checks and balances, that the world would
want it. Domestically it meant that our government would have to trust the American people with
the republic.
Due to the influence of the emigre nationalists, that attitude was all but over by 1952. The
Republican Party Platform claimed to mark the end of the negative, futile, and immoral policy of
containment which abandons countless human beings to a despotism and Godless terrorism
which in turn enables the rulers to forge the captives into a weapon for our destruction.

By 1952, Stetskos combined ABN emigre groups had such a large impact on US politics that the
freeing of the Eastern European countries became part of the Republican Party Platform. From
the 1950s onward, the combined anti-communist emigre populations began to shape the

This party platform became the policy and later on the doctrine of annihilation of the Soviet
Union, and now asserts itself as the doctrine of the annihilation of the Russian Federation. The
actual wording today is that the very existence of Russia is proof of its imperialist
policy. Russia itself must be destroyed. It was written by ABN leader Yaroslav Stetsko and
became United States policy.
Domestically this began the witch hunts of the Red Scare years: McCarthyism. The US
government didnt trust the American people with the republic so they turned to a constituency
they did trust: the anti-communist emigre groups, the former nazi ultra- nationalists. This began
directly after WW2. As early as 1948 and the beginning of the Red Scare, US domestic and foreign
policy started to favor forms of Hapsburg nationalism abroad. At home it started with
McCarthyism.
Nazism is the proper term to describe ultra-nationalism. All nationalism revolves around the idea
of statism. Everything is for the state. George Kennan, the father of the US containment policy,
believed that patriotism (or love of state) was admirable, while nationalism was a disease of the
human spirit.
Setting the bar for anti-Americanism
The USA didnt just support the idea of using Eastern European assets as a counter to Soviet
expansion, it set up full blown governments in exile around the world for the captive nations,
allowing a sizable part of the actual Bandera army of well over 100,000 Ukrainian war criminals
to immigrate to America. The Bandera came as an army. Bandera only existed as an army.
Each emigre community had the status of a nation, with governments and presidents, while
becoming US citizens. The Ukrainian, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Polish ultranationalists formed a country within our country, recognized as dual citizens. They began
dominating our politics from the late 1940s.
The Anti-American Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA)
Over the last seventy years, while working toward the overthrow of the Soviet Union, Yaroslav
Stetskos ABN, led by the UCCA, also worked toward the eventual takeover of the other thing they
disliked most: American Democracy.
America welcomed them as immigrants and was thanked by the development of American
Fascism among the neo-cons, the neo-liberals, and the Christian Right. Anti-communists were
turned into bastions of ultra-nationalism under the Stars and Stripes of American
Exceptionalism.

Over the decades, the sections of the US government that dealt with the American ABN group
(UCCA and its affiliates) specifically referred to them as anti-Americans who were violently
opposed to American policy, anti-democratic Nazis, and war criminals. The US Army Counter
Intelligence and the Federal governments description of them has been that they are as antiAmerican as they were anti-communist or anti-Russian. These statements cover several decades.
In 1991 president George Bush stated bluntly he would not turn Ukraine over to a group of
suicidal nationalists. He was speaking to and about the ABN and specifically the UCCA. In 1991,
other ultra-nationalist factions (OUNm from Australia and Germany), took control of Ukraine,
and the final word on the Bandera OUNb was that they left Ukraine and went home. to the
United States. In Ukraine only about 25,000 maximum people would describe themselves as
Ukrainian Nationalists (Nazi ultra-nationalists).
In Bandera, i.e., Ukrainian emigre America, the leadership claims over 1 million Bandera ultranationalists. They are as committed or more so than Dimitro Yarosh or Oleg (the pitchfork)
Lyashko. Canada boasts the worlds largest population of ultra-nationalist Ukrainians with the
UWCs estimated 1.5 million Canadian members.
The American Bandera faction which you see on display in Ukraine today is having
its coming out party.
Developing Anti-Americans in America
Europes Promethean experiment produced extreme ultra-nationalism in every country that had
been part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and Ukraine was the model. During the Cold War,
Yaroslav Stetsko set up the ABN as the sole source of intelligence for the Western world on all
things related to the Soviet Union. The anti communist groups became the only representatives of
East Block countries the Western world dealt with. In 1936 the OUN publication, The Nationalist,
stated its position pretty clearly about the United States to the native groups that revolved around
the UCCA after the war:
Nationalism is the love of country and the willingness to sacrifice for herA person brought up as
a Ukrainian Nationalist will make a one hundred percent better AMERICAN CITIZEN than one
who is not.
Was it Nazis or Fascism that guided Washington, Lincoln, or other statesmen to make the U.S. a
world power? Or was it American Nationalism?
The 1940s Rise of Nazi America
Throughout the following decades, the former Promethean countries emigre leadership in the US
increased their positions in American politics and policy by becoming Americas star anticommunists. Bandera OUN/ABN alone came in by the hundreds of thousands, having existed as
an army before this. Military Intelligence in 1947 showed that the ABN had a military wing,
including the OUNb (todays leadership is UCCA), the Polish-Baltic Legion, and former German,

Cossack, Caucasian, and Turkmenistani military units. In the US they went as far as purchasing a
few war planes, becoming countries within our country. The ABN was divided into five sections:
military, youth, counter-espionage, government, and propaganda.
The ABN gained a global reach by allowing any people oppressed by the Soviet Union to join,
including ultra-nationalist groups from Siberia, China, Mongolia, Korea, and Manchuria.
Nationalism via anti-communism
In 1949, Secretary of State Dean Acheson requested the formation of a working committee
representing leading political, social, economic, and religious figures that could then arrange
contacts with the various exile organizations. This liaison group would enable the American
government to provide assistance and to ensure that all activities would remain in line with U.S.

This formation gave the ABN emigre groups stature in the government and access to leadership in
every strata of our society.
Prior to 1949, the Nazi emigre groups and the UCCA in particular were investigated for antiAmerican activity by the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) which was eventually
chaired by Senator Joe McCarthy.
After President Trumans 1949 directive to designate them as anti-communists, they were
dropped from the investigation list. When you consider that almost the entire Ukrainian emigre
population (a few hundred thousand) that came in were Nazi SS, Banderas OUN army and their
leadership, in addition to the ultra-nationalist population that was already present in the US, the
narrative starts to take off.
During the HUAC investigations in the early 1950s, ABN (UCCA) operatives that barely had time
to change out of their SS uniforms were bringing accusations of communist subversion against US
citizens whose reputations, careers, and lives were ruined because of it. What became known as
the Red Scare to a large degree rested on the information provided by the former Nazis now
known as anti-communist emigres. Most of the accusations made to the committee have been
debunked as fabricated.
Senator McCarthy gave the ABN a national platform, and anyone who went against it faced his
wrath. The Captive Nations emigre population led by the Bandera UCCA became the storm
troopers for the hard right, manning almost every demonstration during the 1950s and 60s,
hurling accusations of pro-communism at every politician or person that stood against their
agenda, from PTA meetings to national protests. They purged libraries of books they considered
too liberal.
The OUN-ABN-UCCA Ukrainian emigres were not alone. Yaroslav Stetsko was a brilliant
organizer. Early on he found out that by consolidating groups as he had done with the ABN, he

could increase his political footprint a hundred fold. Many politicians wouldnt talk to a war
criminal, so he stayed in the background while others promoted his strategies.
The political scientist and diplomat George Kennan, one of the key figures of the Cold War,
described the Captive Nations ethnic groups as a long standing phenomenon in American political
life. Small, compact ethnic voting groups in large cities put more pressure on certain politicians,
and through them the entire US government, than an equivalent group of native citizens ever
could.
Polish Ultra Nationalists
The Polish American Congress (PAC) was formed in New York in 1944, and because of their size
and unity, became instrumental after joining Stetskos ABN. From 1944, the PAC started
influencing national elections to such a degree that Republicans and Democrats scrambled to get
their support. From the 1940s until the present they have represented 5% of the voting
population in the United States. Furthermore, their populations are located in states that are
essential for winning a national election, including Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan,
Massachusetts, Wisconsin, New York, Ohio, Connecticut, and Maryland. In the 1950s, the over
200,000 polish emigres that came to the US under the Displaced Persons Act began to have an
effect as the PAC started moving toward the right.
The Baltic Ultras: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania
The Baltic States emigre population played a significant role even without a large footprint. These
governments-in-exile became the darlings of right wing congressman, who took up their causes.
The larger Eastern European community across the US adopted the Baltics states cause and
helped promote it on Capitol Hill.

The Latvian engagement in American partisan politics became particularly relevant in the 1960s
when a large number of Latvians obtained U.S. citizenship and realized that they now possessed
valuable political power. The American parties, especially the Republicans, understood that too
and reached out to the refugees by creating ethnic committees. A notable group of prominent
Latvian migrs such as Voldemrs Korsts, Laimonis Streips, Ilgvars Spilners and riks Dundurs
became seriously interested in changing the American political scene from within.
Zake noted that a sizable section of the Latvian community was made up of former German
Waffen-SS, which participated in the wartime genocide. To defend them, Latvian nationalist
journalist Ernests Blanks insisted they had fulfilled a historic mission by protecting Western
Europe from the threat of communism:
These anti-communists watched with terror the changes in American laws and government
policies such as the foreign policy of peaceful co-existence(Containment Policy) with the USSR.

The Latvian anti-communists could not comprehend the shame Americans felt about the Vietnam
War, Americas inability to act against Communists in Cuba as well as the desire to limit and
control the work of the FBI and CIA.(ibid)
Although Baltic exiles in the United States placed most of their faith in the State Department and
the President to liberate their home countries, they eventually began to turn to Congress to help
push their political agenda. The status of Eastern Europe became an important aspect of
American domestic politics. Democratic operatives were concerned about Republican plans to
garner East European Americans votes, particularly Polish Americans, as early as the 1944

The China Lobby and the Power of Ultra-Nationalist Propaganda
The definition of the China Lobby below is correct and yet so minimalistic it is unhelpful on its
own. Generally defined, the China Lobby was a broad network of people, both foreign and
domestic, whose interests coalesced around the goal of overthrowing communism in China. It
consisted of well-financed Nationalist Chinese officials, in collaboration with right-wing U.S.
political elites who worked toward the common goal of supporting Chiang Kai-sheks recovery of
mainland China from Mao Zedong and the Communist forces. Aided by the anticommunist
environment of the 1950s, the lobbys loose affiliation of influential individuals from the private
sector, media and politics exerted considerable pressure on U.S. foreign policy decisions

China Lobby Background
The working committee created in 1949 by Dean Acheson was meant to educate the American
public about communism. With oversight from every aspect of society, government, political
science, business, and the religious community, safeguards were to be put in place using materials
that were consonant with democracy. But instead of promoting democracy, the working
committees attracted early American nationalists that packaged the message of the emigre ultra
nationalists/ anti communists for a very large Christian American public. In the 1950s, the
Church- going public included over 50% of the US population. By 1951, this situation
boomeranged against Secretary Acheson and the Truman administration who were accused of
being too soft on communism.
What is apparent is that the emigre leadership running US Cold War propaganda was also
supplying the same kind of educational material on the home-front, just packaged differently, in
the press and Church sermons.
As an example of democracy education abroad, Radio Free Europe and Voice of
America were censured by oversight committees for calling Banderas SS units
(Galizien, Roland, Nichtengall) heroes of democracy. Further as an example of the
democracy the Eastern Europeans should look to was the freedom Hitler gave them

when the Nazis freed them from Soviet oppression. This occurred regularly from
the 1960s until the late 1980s.
How a Pro-Fascist Press Stole American Democracy
At the end of WWII, China was faced with civil war. The struggle between Chiang Kai-shek and
Mao Zedong became the fight of American Christian democracy against Godless communism.
Henry Luce, born in China to missionary parents, founder of Time Magazine, Life Magazine,
House and Home, Sports Illustrated and Fortune Magazine,became the engine that propelled this
cause onto the American psyche. Luce believed America had an obligation to fulfill Chinas
national destiny. Chiang Kai-shek was on the cover of Time Magazine 10 times in as many years.
Other publications included Colliers, The Saturday Evening Post, Readers Digest, U.S. News and
World Report, Washington Times-Herald, the Los Angeles Examiner, the San Francisco
Examiner, and the Oakland Tribune.
According to biographer W.A. Swanberg: Luce stood guilty of manipulating 50 million people

Imagine the changes forty plus years of propaganda worked within our nation, when these
publications were almost all of what mainstream America read. Luce softly pushed ultranationalism as the only cure for communism.
Understanding how anti-Communists in Congress (the China Lobby) manipulated public opinion
through the press is critical to understanding how McCarthyism worked. Peter Manley Baker
Numerous editorials appeared in major newspapers around the country, many of them mobilized
by the American Legion and other vocally anti-Communist political groups. Staff editorials also
supported the Committee. While right wing newspapers such as the Chicago Tribune and New
York Daily News were unequivocal in their support, even traditionally liberal New Deal friendly
publications like the New York Times and Washington Post ran supporting editorials. While right

The Hearst publishing empire stood squarely behind the China Lobby and pushed anticommunist propaganda, supporting the annihilation doctrine as American policy. This included
anointing Americas Pastor Billy Graham as the anti-communist crusader: Hearst publications
made him an instant national celebrity.
As the Cold War got into gear almost every American individual and Congressperson that read
newspapers and magazines were fed a growing frenzy of propaganda that didnt stop until well
into the 1980s. To take a soft stand on communism was political suicide.
The first casualty in the assault on American democracy was on a free, unbiased
press.
During this period, the 1940s-1960s, the first neo-conservatives added to the political
fire. Leo Strauss, a staunch nationalist in the Hapsberg tradition and former
communist Seymour Martin Lipset (the father of American Exceptionalism), were among the first
few political and social scientists pushing nationalism into the political arena and public
consciousness. The fight for freedom and democracy that they supported in China was in reality
the struggle of ultra-nationalism vs communism. Chiang Kai-shek retained power in Taiwan for a
while and formed an ultra-nationalist government. Taiwan didnt start to move toward democracy
until the late 1990s.
Luces assistant, former communist Marvin Liebman, organized the Committee of One Million. It
gathered one million signatures to bar Communist China from entry into the UN. The petition
was brought to president Eisenhower, who reversed course and made the case for exclusion at the
UN. The US government only recognized the Peoples Republic of China in 1979.
Stetsko, the Anti-American
Luce was a die-hard nationalist, anti-communist, Nazi. One of his assistant Marvin Liebmans
most intimate contacts in the anti-communist world was Yaroslav Stetsko. The China Lobby
andthe Committee of One Million were only a few of the projects they worked on together.
Another group they founded was the World Anti-Communist League (WACL) along with Chiang
Kai-shek supporters. These later worked with the ABN and WACL until the Ukrainian emigres
Ukraine emerged from the collapse of the Soviet Union.
From its start the China Lobby was protected by Joe McCarthy. Any person that disagreed faced
his wrath, was labeled a communist and investigated. This provided the nationalists from the US
and abroad with enough cover to do whatever they wanted.
Henry Luce was instrumental to the successes of the China Lobby, which included changing US
policy from the containment doctrine to the doctrine of annihilation. Because he was in control of
such an iconic part of the US media, he almost single handedly changed the social fabric of

America. Influential politicians that signed on were former president Herbert Hoover, Richard M.
Nixon + over 80 senators and congressmen.
Most of the support came from Americans who stood against the spread of communism. There
was no other agenda. In the words of governor Thomas Dewey If China falls [to communism],
we may reasonably assume that all Asia is gone and Western Europe and the Americas will
stand alonevery much alone in a hostile world.
The propaganda machine engulfed American media. Congressmen took the China Lobbys word
for granted that Chiang Kai-shek was democratic as well as anti-communist. Even when they
could not hide Taiwans open Nazism, the China Lobby clouded the air: Whatever may have
been the acts of commission and omission attributable to the Nationalist Government in the
past, it is a cardinal fact today that China is strenuously fighting the Communist aggression,
which is aided and abetted by an oligarchy of international communism abroad and by

Chiang Ki-shek ruled as a life-time president. His dictatorship was marked with continual
repression and war preparations to invade mainland China. Taiwan is still not democratic and the
governments nationalism is evident even today.
With the loss of China to communism, the China Lobby stormed through Congress at the start of
the Korean war to make sure it didnt happen again. This full court press resulted in US
involvement in the Korean war.
The Korean War
After WWII, Korea was supposed to be partitioned, the Communists in the north and the ultranationalists in the south. In the south the appointed and subsequently elected ultra-nationalist
Syngman Rhee wasted no time consolidating power by destroying anyone who opposed him. In
the first few months, over 14,000 murders took were committed by his government. Both sides,
including the Norths Kim ll Sung, wanted to unite the peninsula under one government. North
Korea attacked South Korea with overwhelming force.
The Luce-Hearst-Liebman-Stetsko China Lobby wasted no time ratcheting up the propaganda
and political pressure in Congress and on the President to act. America could not let democratic
South Korea fall to communism as it had done to Chiangs China. Christian America went to war
against the satanic Godless communists, or at least that was how it was sold.
Five years after Hitler was defeated, America went to war for Nazis. The cost was over 44,000
American lives. Rhee was president until he was forced out in 1960 and moved to Hawaii.
Stetsko-Nazi Hands Across the World
By 1948, the ABN was well on its way to becoming the premier anti-Communist exile
organization. Not because of its popularity, but due to intimidation of its rivals through political
in-fighting and bullying that included killings and beatings administered by the dreaded internal
security wing of OUN/B, the SB. CIC (Army Counter Intelligence) confirmed that by 1948 both
the Intermarium and the UPA (Ukrainian Partisan Command) reported to the ABN president,

Yaroslav Stetsko. The UPA in turn had consolidated all the anti-Soviet groups under its umbrella.
Yaroslav Stetsko was also Secretary of OUN/B and second in command to Bandera, who had the
largest remaining partisan group behind Soviet lines under his direct command.
Thus, by 1950, OUN/B had become the leader among the anti-Communist exiles especially
America, while the more moderate and Madisonian-oriented platforms and groups, the
Prometheans, the Central European Federal Club and others had been fused with the ABN or

In 1954 Chiang Kai-shek visited his counterpart in South Korea to further cooperation. Chiang
was funded directly by the Liebman- Stetsko China Lobby. The ultra nationalist Kai-shek also
found direct support from Stetskos ABN. The Bandera were experts in clandestine warfare and
sent trainers and mercenaries. Stetsko and Liebman also help set up the APACL (Asian Peoples
Anti-Communist League) for Chiang Kai-shek to consolidate Asian ultra-nationalists into a
cohesive group. This group would eventually be the hub of world wide Nazi power,
the WACL (World Anti-Communist League) which both Stetsko and Liebman would steer.
The China Lobby and the WACL steered by Liebman and Stetsko would continue to increase in
power well into the Reagan years.
Stetsko was able to keep his ideology alive in Eastern Europe through Radio Free Europe. This
was run by Henry Luces right hand and political warfare specialist, C.D. Jackson. Ultra
nationalist ideology was broadcast on Radio Free Asia.
By the mid 1950s Stetskos ABN had gained so much power by controlling Americas anticommunist crusade that although the ABN (UCCA) could not testify in front of Congress they
were writing the questions and supplying the witnesses to answer them to sub committee
investigations.
The Birth of Nazi Christian Belief
In 1950 Americas two favorite sayings were do unto others as you would have done to
you and live and let live.
You have to understand, we are an underground organization. We have spent years quietly
penetrating positions of influence, one (OUNB Bandera) member told journalist Russ Bellant,
who documented the groups resurgence in the United States in his 1988 book, Old Nazis, New
Right, and the Republican Party.
Through the working groups set up under Truman, the anti-communist message developed
religious anti-communism. The Latvian ultra nationalist emigres helped this along by coining the
phrase Godless communists. This one catch phrase permeated American media, culture, and
sentiment. It became the phrase that would be used to back up wars that pushed the ultra
nationalist agenda through the Reagan era. This invasion of government into religion changed the

nature of mainstream American Christianity to Christ Militant.

Circa 1940, church membership was 49% of the American population. By 1970 it had jumped to
65% thanks to the Cold War rhetoric of politicians and evangelicals. Starting in the 1950s, church
growth was in response to the message that communism rejected God, and real Americans were
Christian. China Lobby claimsmakers appealed to American Christian moresespecially
significant during Eisenhowers presidencyclaiming, never since the Boxer days have so
many crimes been committed against foreign missionaries. Representative Louis C. Rabaut (DMich.) confirmed that this was an important issue because in the field of foreign affairs the
problem haunting us today is unquestionably godless communism.-FIRING UP THE COLD
WAR:THE CHINA LOBBY AND SINO-AMERICAN RELATIONS, 1945-1955 Keith Allan Clark

In Plea for an Anti-Communist Faith, Senator Richard Nixon (of all people), former member of
the House Un-American Activities Committee, equated Communism with pure evil, arguing in
1952 that the only way to combat the netherworld of deceit, subversion, and espionage which is
the Communist conspiracy was Christian religious faith a faith based not on materialism but
on a recognition of God. Nixon asserted that Western-style freedom was impossible without

His call was answered by people like Abraham Vereide who started the National Prayer
Breakfast in 1953, bringing politicians, religious leaders, and anti-communist emigres together
under the auspices of Jesus and developed the anti-communist (eventually Fascist) faith. Vereide,
a devout anti-communist and ultra-nationalist, developed the vehicle that would eventually
combine hatred of communists and love of Nazism into an American Evangelical Christianity that
has more nationalist political ideology than theological underpinning.
Preachers like Billy Graham cemented this into the American fabric. Graham gained instant fame
because his message wasnt about the God who so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son. The minister was a popular voice for fundamentalist, nationalistic conservatism, arguing
thatChristian salvation was the only vaccine against Communism. The American reliance on
religion for ideological legitimacy blended the Christian and patriotic ideals, making
Christianity a prerequisite for patriotic citizenship.
By the 1950s every major denomination had anti-communist educational programs and America
could make war against communists in the Name of God. American politicians would send our
children to war to fight the new Satan as they did in Korea, because we are a godly nation and a
blessed nation.
The material for this was drawn from the propaganda of the ABN emigre groups, specifically the
UCCA. By drawing these parallels, the anti-American emigre groups redefined what it meant to be

a good American citizen and a good American Christian. For Christian leaders and politicians
hoping to get elected, where you stood with the ABN(UCCA) anti-communist policy became the
litmus test of your salvation and citizenship.
The groups combined political and ecumenical rhetoric to the point of creating an overgrown
right-wing perversion of Christianity. The National Association for Evangelicals, which carried
over ten million members in the 1950s, consistently tied its message of salvation to strong
denunciations of the Red Menace, emphasizing the Christian duty to safeguard free enterprise
from perversion.
Today, throughout the Evangelical Christian community, this translates as liberals and
democrats cannot be Christians.
From the late 1950s onward, to get into national politics support for the ABNs anti-communist
doctrine of Annihilation was indispensable for both the Democrats and Republicans.
Conservative theologians such as Graham and Hargis stressed the moral evils of Communism.
Every conflict was a battle between good and evil, between the Godly and the damned. Either
Communism must die, or Christianity must die, wrote Reverend Graham in 1954, because it is
actually a battle between Christ and the anti-Christ (Satans Religion, ibid)
Religious and Political Crimes Against Our Humanity
The shoddy political moralizing and heretical theology used to make this fight happen directly
parallels Banderas Greek Catholic and Ukrainian Orthodox beliefs. Both religious models were
developed under Ukrainian Nationalism to make heroes and martyrs of genocidal people and
armies. Bandera nationalism and his religious Nationalism are Chauvinistic in the extreme sense
of the word. If you are not ultra-nationalist Ukrainian, it is a religious duty and blessing from
their god to mutilate you as they kill you. With this almost a sacrament, if one of the faithful
draws back from it they are branded a heretic or a coward.
On Ukrainian news on September 11, 2014, a priest gave a speech calling for the killing of scores
of Novo Russiya people for every good Ukrainian that died attacking Donbass. Bandera today is
celebrated in America and Canada as a sinless leader or providnyk, a figure true to religion and

During the cold war this chauvinistic anti-communist-Christian sentiment was introduced into
the military to develop fearless and ruthless soldiers that were fighting Gods battles for the USA.
This was done through Stetskos China Lobby, through the religious leadership, congress, and
large connections in the military. The ABN(OUNb) were the US and EU sources for military
intelligence. Their relationship to NATO is almost as old as the organization itself.
The ABN vision for a post-Soviet Europe was the antithesis of the Intermarium proposal; it was
based on violent revolution and national self-determination instead of popular change and

federalism.
The ascendancy of the ABN also coincided with its increased dependence on foreign financing.
Financed first by the British via Vatican channels in 1948, then by the CIA, the ABN became
beholden to intelligence agencies rather than its constituencies.
The ABN program sought not just to end Soviet domination in east central Europe but also to

Throughout the 50s and 60s they worked to bring the US itself to a form of nationalism. This was
the only way they could accomplish their goals. Ultimately they knew that if they were going to
shatter Russia, the United States military would have to carry the load.
Support Our Troops
The MRFF (Military Religious Freedom Foundation) fights this at the Supreme Court. The level of
proselytizing of our nations best and brightest into an amoral religious combat machine with no
regard for humanity is at its peak. Our young soldiers today are committing suicide at a level that
exceeds combat deaths because they cannot live with the crimes against humanity our
government orders them to do. This Christian army mentality is destroying our youth through a
perversion of religion.
1960s Implementation of American Nationalism
To really understand the implications of the powerbase the OUNb-ABN-UCCA emigres acquired
in the US, you need to look at the Captive Nations Resolution of 1959. One reporter remarked that
it was passed in Congress with all the thought of a national hot dog week proclamation. The
proclamation, which was written by the UCCA, called for the destruction of the Soviet Union and
freeing of the captive nations. It went so far as to name two countries that only existed
as part of 3rd Reich propaganda. It also demanded that every US president from that time
forward proclaim Captive Nations Week in July.
The timing of the vote for the proclamation came as then President Eisenhower sent VicePresident Richard Nixon to Moscow to meet with the Soviet leadership and roll back the cold war.
The trip was meant to establish better relations and begin stepping back to a containment policy.
The China Lobby in Congress delivered it just in time to sabotage the meeting. First Secretary
Krushchev immediately asked NixonWhy did the US send a Vice-President, governors, and open
up an exhibit on one hand and call for the destruction of his nation on the other? You can read

This was the second time the ABN actively intensified the Cold War during the former WWII
generals presidency.

The Larger Perspective

Using anti-communism as his springboard, Yaroslav Stetsko became one of the biggest drivers in
the Cold War, and thus of American politics. Vice-President Nixon was one of his earliest allies.
With so many powerful friends and the clout Stetsko now had in defense, government, and media
worldwide, there was only one other person above him.
Stepan Bandera
In October 1959, Stepan Bandera was assassinated by the KGB. In July 1959 he got one hell of a
send-off. The illiterate US Congress passed the Captive Nations Proclamation Act which forces
every US president to proclaim the wishes of Stepan Bandera as US policy every July. This is the
doctrine of annihilation of the (then) Soviet Union (now) Russia and China. The governments of
these countries were to be replaced by ultra-nationalist governments whose membership was
made up the ABN-APACL-WACL.
The fact that this proclamation was passed when Former General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the man
who planned D-Day was the US president, makes one wonder what he thought upon learning that
US presidents should bow to the wishes of a Nazi.
The two remarks about the OUNb that run through all the decades is that they are violently
opposed to US policy and their loyalties were always questionable.
From a CIA 1952 document:- STETSKO is allegedly the brains, the architect, the intellectual, the
planner his life is dedicated to one cause: A free Ukraine. To reach his goal he will undergo
untold hardships and privations; he could be honest in only one respect: Furthering the cause.
Being a thinker, and operating on the proposition that the end justifies the means.
Of the two groups of administration policy makers, one perceived Americas European ethnic
groups as rife with divided loyalties, and hence a danger to national security, while the other
viewed them as valuable sources for political intelligence that would help the war effort in Europe.
The former included the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation; the
latter, The Office of War Information and the Foreign Nationalities Branch of the Office of
Strategic Services.
1960
During the 50s and 60s, all the ultra-nationalist emigres were gaining citizenship and the power
of bloc voting described earlier. One year after being humiliated in front of the leader of the Soviet
Union by the ABN-UCCA, Nixon had learned his lesson. Leading into the presidential election of
1960 he said: I join the President In endorsing this significant observance and hope that the
people throughout America and the world will be inspiredI can think of no finer inspiration
than those words of President Eisenhower in which he said that as long as he is President, our
government will never concede that there has been a sound, durable or working peace until the
Captive Nations have had the right to express their own convictions about their own form of
government. Concluding his message to Captive Nations Week Committee Chairmen, Vice
President Nixon said: I can assure you that the United States will continue to use every peaceable

means to give them this opportunity to form their own government.-Ukraine Weekly July 30

And we have also been brainwashed with another Communist basic tenet. They insist that love of
country, the pride of a people in their history, their ideals and their accomplishments is wicked
nationalism. Ever since the war, the Communist fronts, and the beatniks and the eggheads, have
conducted a national chorus of denunciation of this wicked nationalism. Manifestly our religious
organizations and our agencies for character-building in our youth are giving devoted service to
halt this slump in morals. These agencies have need of every assistance.
But there is a latent force in American life which could be of vital help. The nation needs
a rebirth of a great spiritual force, which has been impaired by cynicism and weakened by foreign
infection. You can call it nationalism if you will. (ibid)- Former president Herbert Hoover 1960
Republican Convention (Chicago, the capital of the Polish American Congress (ultra-nationalist).
The 1960 Election
John F. Kennedy also courted the Polish American Congress vote. The difference was that he
never went to Moscow to normalize relations and turn back the policy of containment. According
to Wikipedia: Kennedy received 112,827 (0.17%) more votes than Nixon nationwide, and,
although Nixon won the popular vote contest in more individual states (26 to 22),the electoral
votes held by those various states, when cast, gave Kennedy an Electoral College victory of 303 to
219. Nixon was the first candidate in American presidential electoral history to lose an election
despite carrying a majority of the states.
Bandera-American Nationalism Celebrated
In July 1960, the nationalist emigre groups gained their first major victory in the fight to establsh
nationalism in America. New York City hosted the Stars and Stripes Gala Affair that punctuated
the Captive Nations Week celebration. At the parade on the podium were every prominent Jewish
leader, 87+ US Senators and US Congressman, New Yorks mayor, the Governor, and the captive
nations leaders which included at least seven former Third Reich SS officers. The nationalist
Ukrainians marching in the parade were from Banderas army in WW2. (I wonder how many SS
units were represented that day.)
Vietnam
The China Lobby, an influential pro-Nationalist coalition of publishers, businessmen, military
generals and Republican Congressmen including freshman Senator Richard Nixon attacked
the White House for being soft on Chinese Communism, and blamed the Nationalists defeat on
a handful of allegedly treasonous State Department China specialists.
As [President Lyndon Johnson] later recalled: I knew Harry Truman and Dean Acheson had
lost their effectiveness from the day the Communists took over in China. I believed that the
loss of China had played a large role in the rise of Joe McCarthy. And I knew that
all these problems, taken together, were chickenshit compared with what might

The forced escalation by President Johnson to stave off domestic ultra-nationalism gave
American nationalists exactly what they wanted: the Vietnam war.
In May 1964 the Asian Peoples Anti-Communist League (APACL), created and steered by
Yaroslav Stetsko and Marvin Liebman asked for US help to bring the war to the communists and
stated: Every free nation should support the Republic of Vietnam, which is waging the war for
the freedom of the whole free world.This freedom they speak of is the freedom to become fascist
nations. Stetskos purpose was to surround the Soviet Union with Nazi countries that would work
actively to destroy both it and Russia.
On August 2, 1964 the US was at war in Vietnam.
In 1968, the second general conference of WACL (World Anti-Communist League) was held in
Saigon, Vietnam, in support of the ultra-nationalist government. 58,200 US service men died
fighting in Vietnam for the Nazi cause of Yaroslav Stetsko and the growing number of American
nationalists
Nations within our Nation
From the 1950s through the 2000s, the loyalties of the emigres have been called into question.
During the 1950s, Stetskos ABN-UCCA were writing the questions and providing the witnesses
to anti-communist Congressional sub-committees. Much of the intelligence and information they
provided to Congress in the 1950s was proven false and self serving by the 1960s. State
Department experts whose careers the anti-communists ruined were vindicated, albeit too late.
In two wars, over 100,000 American soldiers died to support the installation of Nazi
regimes in Asia.
Electing US Presidents
Proof that the previous information is true can be seen in presidential elections and policies that
directly reflects emigre nationalistic policy. Ultra-nationalists see democracy as weakness. They
vote in blocs that reflect the politics of Yaroslav Stetsko, the leader of the combined groups in the
captive nations.
From Kennedy forward it would be interesting to reconsider election results from this
perspective: both the popular vote and that of the electoral college.
Richard Nixon Created a perfect storm in American politics by recognizing the emigre
groups and giving them status. The ABN delivered five states to his campaign.
Gerald Ford Committed the ultimate gaff shortly before the election. He stated on television
that Poland was not under Soviet control. Even the president of the Polish American Congress,
Fords friend could not help with the fallout. The vote went to Jimmy Carter.
Jimmy Carter
We are all familiar with the Iran hostage crisis during Jimmy Carters administration. What cost
Jimmy Carter the next election was that the negotiated release of the hostages did not happen
before the election. The Reagan camp knew that if the hostages were released Jimmy Carter

would be a national hero and unbeatable. Because it didnt happen, Reagan was able to stoke the
flames of nationalist fervor and patriotism.
Ronald Reagan is a direct product of the ABN.
Michael Keith Deaver co-founded the public relations company, Deaver and Hannaford in 1975.
The company booked Reagans public appearances, research and sell his radio program, and
ghost-write his syndicated column. Peter Dale Scott claims that all this was arranged with an
eye to Reagans presidential aspirations, which Deaver and Hannaford helped organize from the
outset.
In 1977 Deaver and Hannaford registered with the Justice Department as foreign agents,
receiving $5,000 a month from the government of Taiwan (APACL-WACL). They also received
$11,000 a month from a group called Amigos del Pais (Friends of the Country) in Guatemala. The
head of Amigos del Pais was Roberto Alejos Arzu (WACL). He was the principal organizer of
Guatemalas Reagan for President organization. Arzu was a CIA asset who in 1960 allowed his
plantation to be used to train Cuban exiles for the Bay of Pigs invasion.
Peter Dale Scott argues that funds from military dictatorships (WACL) helped pay for the Deaver
and Hannaford offices, which became Reagans initial campaign headquarters in Beverly Hills
and his Washington office. This resulted in Ronald Reagan developing the catch-phrase: No
more Taiwans, no more Vietnams, no more betrayals. He also argued that if he was elected as
president he would re-establish official relations between the United States Government and
Taiwan.
On 22nd September, 1980, Iraq invaded Iran. The Iranian government was now in desperate need
of spare parts and equipment for its armed forces. Jimmy Carter proposed that the US would be
willing to hand over supplies in return for the hostages.Spartacus- John Simkin
Through the ABN-WACL, Reagan was able to circumvent this. Carters deal was leaked to Reagan
and the press by the CIA. Its failure cost him the election. This became known as the October
Surprise, and through heavy ABN-WACL maneuvering, funding, bloc votes and support, Reagan
won the election.
At the center of Iran-Contra as journalist Robert Parry made famous was longtime Yaroslav
Stetsko friend General John Singlaub;co-founder of the CIA and head of WACL USA.
StetskosABN-APACL-WACL-OUNb-UCCA was at the center of one of Americas greatest
scandals.
Slava Stetsko 1988 stated it clearly: Our people here are not electing a Democrat or a
Republican. They are electing a man or woman who has some kind of integrity. They try to
learn what ideas he or she represents and stands for. Men or women of great caliber and values
win our vote.
What Did the Nazis Gain?
White House staffer and future first lady of Ukraine, Katherine Chumachenko coordinated ABN
matters as part of her duties at the Reagan Office of Public Affairs. Under the Reagan/Bush

presidencies a parade of questionable east central European exiles, including members of the Iron
Guard, Ustasha, OUN, and others enjoyed some official support despite legitimate criticism of
their extreme nationalism. According to a press release issued by the Ukrainian National
Information Service, circa 1984, from the Reagan Library Katherine Chumachenko file, these
affiliated organizations included the World Anti-Communist league, the US Council for World
Freedom, the National Captive Nations Committee, and the Ukrainian Congress Committee of

The ABN were given posts throughout the Reagan administration. They had a seat on the
National Security Council. Marvin Liebman, of the China Lobby, APACL, and WACL, was a
special consultant to the Reagan Administration.
Through Reagan, WACL started freeing its Central American groups, one of which were the
infamous Contras Reagan.
George HW Bush
From his days at the CIA, George Bush senior was the president that was most familiar with the
emigre nationalists. When the Soviet Union fell and Ukraine was gaining its independence he
made what is known as the Chicken Kiev speech. In it he made clear that Bandera would not set
up the government in Ukraine.
Yet freedom is not the same as independence. Americans will not support those who seek
independence in order to replace a far-off tyranny with a local despotism. They will not aid
those who promote a suicidal nationalism based upon ethnic hatred.
After Ukraine won its independence the ABN was dissolved and WACL was changed to The World
League for Freedom and Democracy (WLFD). They are part of the UN Department of Public
Information. Before the change, Slava Stetsko changed the wording in the consitution to call for
the annihilation of Russia. After the change they write these ultra-nationalists write the human
rights and democracy reports the UN relies on.
Bill Clinton Ran his election among the emigres based on George Bushs betrayal of (ultranationalist) Ukraine by excluding the Bandera faction. It was one of the factors that contributed to
his success in the election. The Bosnian war is an example of the effort to free a nationalist
nation gone bad. The Croatian Ustase Bill Clinton tried to free are the closest political cousins to
the Ukrainian nationalists both then and now.
George W Bush
Do I need to comment?
From the 1950s live and let live American Christianity and Politics combined

Jesus says, You have to put me before other people, and you have to put me before yourself.

That was the demand of the Nazi Party. You have to put the Nazi Party and its objectives ahead of
your own life and ahead of other people! Douglas Coe, The Family
Ive seen pictures of young men in the Red Guard of China, a table laid out like a butcher table,
they would bring in this young mans mother and father, lay her on the table with a basket on the
end, he would take an axe and cut her head off.
They have to put the purposes of the Red Guard ahead of the mother-father-brother-sistertheir
own life. That was a covenant. A pledge.
Rick Warren has exhorted Christians towards Nazi-like dedication in at least several public
speeches.
Barrack Obama
Mentioned throughout, the Captive Nations Groups consist of many nationalities. For instance,
Chicago is the capitol for the Polish American Congress. They alone are large enough to impact
national elections. In Chicago where they are the strongest, what are the odds that anyone who
does not support their ultra-nationalist agenda will get nominated outside of the PTA?
In every country where president Obama has tried regime change the net result has been the
installation of ultra-nationalist governments, from Egypt, Libya, Yemen, and so on. Strip the local
color (Muslim, Christian etc) and look at the politics.
In the United States, we dislike the word nationalism and so, hypocritically, we call it other
things: American exceptionalism, for example, or a belief in American greatness. We also
argue about it as if it were something rationalMitt Romney wrote a book that put forth the case
for American greatnessrather than acknowledging that nationalism is fundamentally
emotional. In truth, you cant really make the case for nationalism; you can only inculcate it,

Fascism cannot be stopped by Fascist acts. In Novo Russiya the only thing that cut Fascist murder
short was street level democracy. People from every political conviction came together on one
issue: We are not Nazis. America can learn from this. It starts with the question: Are you a Nazi?
