FACTORY LOAD TEST PROCEDURE

FACTORY LOAD TEST OF STANDARD 45,5 M GANGWAY At Marine Aluminium,

The loadtest to be carried out with a load of 10,0T connected to a wire on both sides of outer end of
inner fixed part of the gangway.

The gangway shall be lifted into horizontal position.

A 10,0T load to be connected to the outer end of the fixed gangway part.

The gangway is then extended completely, and the load lifted. Afterwards the manouvering handles
shall be placed in neutral position and the gangway operator shall not touch the handles.

Check that there is no leakage in the lifting system while keeping the gangway remained in lifted
position for about 3 minutes.

The gangway is retracted completely, and the load disconnected. A visual inspection is made to
check that no damage has occurred during the load test.

Loadtest of the telescopic part to be carried out with a load of 1,9 T connected to a wire on both
sides of outer end of telescopic part of the gangway.

The gangway shall be lifted into horizontal position and the 1,9T load are connected to the outer end
of the telescopic gangway part.

When the gangway is retracted completely, and the load lifted. Afterwards the manouvering
handles shall be placed in neutral position and the gangway operator shall drive the telescopic part
to outer position and back to inner position.

The gangway is retracted completely, and the load disconnected. A visual inspection is made to
check that no damage has occurred during the load test.
