02/07- Present Project Manager (Embarq/CenturyLink ) Plans, designs and implementations of network systems.
Provides engineering services and project management functions required to develop and implement network plans.
Projects include technology changes within the platforms, new implementation guidelines and/or standards. Creates and
executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifies resources
needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Reviews
deliverables prepared by team before passing to client. Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project
standards. Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures. Minimizes our exposure and risk on
project. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Facilitates team and client meetings
effectively. Holds regular status meetings with project team. Keeps project team well informed of changes within the
organization and general corporate news. Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors. Delivers
engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Understands
how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully. Analysis includes switching, interconnection, national
platforms and backbone facilities. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons, provide engineering
services as project manager to develop and implement large, complex network plans utilizing all three disciplines (OSP
Engineering, Central Office Pair Gain and Transmission Design). Provide expert-level maintenance and technical support
for multiple pairs of Tekelec Eagle STP's and the hardware, software and peripheral systems within the SS7 network
infrastructure. Provide SCP B80’s and P630’s database support for caller identification “Caller ID”. The Service Control
Point (SCP) provides services such as 800/877/866 translations, calling card validation, calling name and number, and
other database services. Local Number Portability (LNP) facilitates telephone number porting with the original
LATA. The database is incorporated with the STPs and provides routing data for all ported numbers. This
database contains information for all ported numbers throughout the US.

04/05 – 02/07 Project Manager (Cingular) - Provide expert-level maintenance and technical support for multiple pairs of
Tekelec Eagle STP's and the hardware, software and peripheral systems within the SS7 network infrastructure. Provide
high-level technical support to various internal and external groups through a definitive working knowledge and broad
experiential background in signaling system 7 (SS7), strong understanding of landline and wireless telephony.
Responsible for assisting in the operations and maintenance of all SS7 elements in the wireless network including
providing on-site field technical support as required for infrastructure equipment installation and acceptance, high-level
technical problem resolution and emergency network restoration support. Provide back-up support for SS7 and related
platforms.

9/98 – 3/05 Technical Service Engineer (Software Operations), TEKELEC, perform health checks, software and
hardware upgrades to TEKELEC EAGLE STP, LSMS/LNP, MPS and Sentinel products for wireless and
residential/business service providers. Provided Tier I and Tier II level support on LSMS/LNP and EAGLE STP Technical
Assistance Center Group. Open/managed/closed Customer Service Requests (CSR). Opened problem reports (PR) for
possible product defects, troubleshot NSD product hardware, firmware, and software to resolve customer problems.
Trained and supervised 15 employees on upgrading and troubleshooting EAGLE STP, which resulted in 98% successful
completion results. Performed system level testing of Telephony related products, including SS7 and UNIX-based
platforms; integrating multiple devices into a customer-like environment. Performed reviews of technical
documentations, including test and design specifications and customer documentation, provided feedback through review
meetings and written feedback. Qualified staff developer / trainer / facilitator.

10/97-9/98 UNIX Switch Administrator, NORTEL SPECTRUM Department, managed the carrier maintenance and
operations on DMS-250/100, software downloading and hardware upgrading, regression test execution and automated
test development. Tested new software to determine whether it would run on switch and hardware loads. Provided
instructions and/or assistance on bringing switch DMS-250/100 to full operation.

Network Surveillance Engineer in the MCI National Network Management Center (Local Services), Identified outages in
the frame relay network; troubleshooting; and responding to trouble calls and tickets. Additional duties included E911 call
tracing, switch translations and Networks 1 & 2 via DXC and SS7 platform.

Twenty years of military and corporate experience as a Technical Service Engineer, Unix Switch Administrator, Network
Surveillance Engineer and Technical Training Instructor. Installed, upgraded, maintained and performed troubleshooting
on digital secure switching systems, wireless telephone base stations, and UNIX based computer systems. Supervised a
staff of 52 professional and support level personnel. Instructed classes on the installation and operation of tactical

satellite and digital secure switching systems and preventive maintenance techniques. Experienced in operation of
standard and specialized electronic diagnostic equipment including the following: multimeters, signal generators,
soldering irons, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and optic time delay repeaters. Instructed and performed circuit
control training, system and circuit troubleshooting; installed and operated telephones, facsimile, test equipment, and
drawing system schematics. Installed and operated DMS-100 and SIEMEN EWSD switches. Installed and operated
portable field transmission equipment. Cross-trained personnel in job duties which resulted in reduced supervision
requirements.

MANAGEMENT:
Managed human resources functions for personnel engaged in maintenance and operations of wire and cable systems,
digital secure switching systems, radio teletype, relay, satellite and microwave communications, with the ability to be an
installer. Planned and conducted numerous training programs. Supervised and participated in the design, fabrication and
installation of lightweight satellite terminals

SUPERVISION:
Supervised employees in the installation of central office switches, hubs, routers and local area networks. Oversaw
software upgrades for IBM/IBM-compatible computers. Directed, coordinated, and managed the installation, operation
and maintenance of manual and automated communications equipment, systems and facilities. Provided technical
guidance concerning all aspects of communication systems employment, maintenance, and logistical support. Prepared
technical reports and maintained system documentation. Installed and operated both analog and digital multi-channel
communications equipment, including radio, communications security devices, and multiplexer equipment. Installed and
operated fiber optic communication links. Prepared and disseminated work schedules, operational procedures and
instructions. Trained employees on troubleshooting procedures for digital switching systems, wireless telephone base
stations, Ethernet packet switching and TCP/IP terminal servers utilizing computer terminals and digital multimeters.
Languages and hardware include C++, C, UNIX, Linux, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, ProComm, Sun Solaris, Oracle and ISO
9000.

MAINTENANCE:
Proficient in troubleshooting, upgrades and maintenance of central office switches, wireless telephone base stations,
personal computers, satellite/microwave communications and multichannel transmission systems. Read schematic
diagrams and interpreted signal flow for system and component troubleshooting and repairs. Performed alignments,
calibrations and repairs on electronic components installed and on the test bench.
