START AIT is the leading formation on accountable, honest, and transparent leadership in AIT. Since its inception in 2006, AIT students have

UP Travel Society
In the past 28 years, UPTS has embarked on various projects that has
been faithful to its main objectives of promoting domestic travel among
students; serving as a training ground for tourism-oriented students; encouraging social and environmental awareness; maintaining and developing excellent standards of service; and promoting brotherhood and camaraderie among its members.
The organization has upheld its objectives by coming up with trips to
various regions in the Philippines and by organizing numerous events while
simultaneously leading environmental concerns such as tree-planting missions.

The UP Club for the Environment and Tourism (UP Club Ecotour) is

ASAPHIL-UPs first and foremost goal is to provide a venue for architectural students to deepen their understanding and interests in the field of architecture and the related fields, which in turn allow the students to further

The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary University of
the Philippines-Diliman Chapter (UAPSA-UPD) is an institutional member
of UAPSA National Inc., the prime and duly-recognized student organization of the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP).
This national awareness organization with over 6600 architecture student
members from 68 active chapters nationwide aims to project the value
and the importance of the role of Architecture students in nation building
and public service by creating culturally and academically enriching opportunities that foster their holistic development, competency and character

UP ARKAIRA
UP Arkaira is the only performing arts organization in the UP College
of Architecture. It is composed of four domains: Choir, Band, Dance and

The UP Architecture Forum


The UP Architecture Forum is the longest standing student organization in the College of Architecture. Recognized on August 18, 1981, AF is
now celebrating its 33rd anniversary. During its existence, Arki Forum has
launched projects and participated in college and university wide activities.
It had sponsored competitions, exhibits, symposia, etc. to further develop
the creative faculties of the college constituents. Within the organization,
Arki Forum has always been a family to its members, helping each one
grow both within the field of Architecture and as individuals.

UP Task Force Arki


The University of the Philippines Task Force Arki (UP TFA) is the UP
College of Architectures only service-oriented student organization. Established in 1986 at the height of martial law and student-led activism, its
founders were compelled to action by the worsening urban housing crisis
and sought to attract like-minded design students to nurture patriotism and
social awareness.
Today, the organization aims to explore and implement architectural and
design solutions that respond to community and larger societal issues in order to uplift and empower Filipinos at all levels of society. It achieves these
goals various activities such as talks and symposiums, research projects,
joint building projects, community outreach projects, among others.

UP Lingua Franca
The U.P. Lingua Franca is a duly recognized socio-academic organization
of the Department of English and Comparative Literature of the U.P. College of Arts and Letters. It is composed of students whose passion lies in
the appreciation of the beauty and power of the English language as it is
used in literary and non-literary compositions, especially by Filipinos. Since
it was founded in June 1996, it has never stopped fostering the growth
and development of the study of the English language and of the literature
written in English in the campus. Its present members take on the task of
continuing this legacy, promoting it to other students of the University of the
Philippines through lecture series, published journals, poetry reading and
other enriching and worthwhile activities.

UP Chemical Engineering Society, Inc.


With 61 years of existence, the UP Chemical Engineering Society, Inc.
(UP KEM) has grown to become one of the largest socio-academic organizations recognized by the college. From 14 pioneering chemical engineering students, it is currently home to more than 200 members and
has produced over 1,400 alumni. Awarded by the Engineering Organization

Tinig ng Plaridel
Tinig ng Plaridel, the official student publication of the University of the
Philippines College of Mass Communication, came to existence in 1978,
when then-President Ferdinand Marcos repressive machinery was at its
deadliest and most desperate times. Amid this critical scenario, student

JMEG aims to promulgate the importance of Music Education in our

Musika Sophia
Musika Sophia is a group of faculty, students, & friends of The U.P. College of Music - Department of Music Education brought together in the
year 2006 by an instrument widely used for music education, the soprano
recorder. A consort of recorders has evolved into a chamber ensemble of
recorders, strings, keyboard, and percussion offering a colorful repertoire
which has grown from a collection of renaissance dances, baroque dance
suites, folk songs, popular tunes, and Philippine airs arranged in simple and
uplifting harmonies. Musika Sophia has performed for many special occasions and has shared its music with puppetry and even in commercial
malls where their music has been very well received, raising the appreciation of other forms of music together with pop music. The group is continually building up its repertoire and practice weekly at the College of Music.

UP Tugtugang Musika Asyatika (UP TUGMA)

The UP Tugtugang Musika Asyatika (UP TUGMA) is the premiere organization of Asian music student-performers in the country, affiliated with
the UP College of Music Department of Musicology. Its main goals are:
1) to build and develop a more conscious audience base for Asian music
and culture that has deep awareness of these traditions; and 2) to raise the
banner of Philippine indigenous music to the global community. In line with
these goals, the organization regularly conducts workshops, field works, and
performance nights. The members of the organization studies and performs the Mindanao Kulintang Ensemble, the Cordillera Bamboo and Gong
Ensemble, the Indonesian Gamelan, the Japanese Koto, the Chinese Sizhu

Formerly the UP String Chamber Orchestra) has its roots from 1998
during the term of the late Dean Reynaldo T. Paguio. It was conceived to

University of the Philippines Variates


The University of the Philippines Variates, Inc., commonly known as the
UP Variates or UPV, is the duly recognized non-profit socio-academic organization of the UP School of Statistics. Founded in September 8, 1989, it
has focused on supporting the development of the academe and national community, through the Statistical Challenge, educational discussions,
and its Alternative Classroom Learning Experience. It has also been active
in serving the college, the university, and society as a whole, through the
Grand Pakain, the Thesis Assistance Program, and its orphanage visits.
In doing so, it has nurtured its members into well-rounded individuals who
excel in academics and geared to render service to the community.

UP StatSoc

UP Statistical Society
The UP Statistical Society (UP StatSoc) is the pioneer organization in
the UP School of Statistics. It has dedicated itself to its goals of promoting
awareness and enhancing interest in the field of Statistics. UP Statsoc is
consistently affiliated with the Philippine Statistical Association since 2014
and was awarded by the Philippines Statistics Association as the Best Youth
Advocate of Statistics in 2015.
