Attendance on magagebac
Presentations, graded on work, not public speaking skills. Have criteria
out to make comments as present. Students will also comment after
teachers comments when completely graded and handed back to look at.
Homework expectations: set up on whiteboard how I want it to look.
Title
1.a) be clear on which question you are answering. If you are going to
use up the right side up page too, divide page in half with a ruler so you
have a new column to write numbers.
b) include units with numbers that need units. If I say I am 5 tall. How
tall am I, I could be 5 feet or meters or hands or pencils tall. Need a unit
with number so know what the number represents.
c) when question ask you to write in words, write out full number in
words, five, not 5.
d) look back over your homework, I circled questions that need to be
corrected. Correct it and show me when done.
Activity: write the number 99 in all the ways we have learned.

Conclusion
Self-Evaluation / Reflection:
The presentations went well, they could have explained some things better. Another teacher will help me grade
them since this is the first summative assignment. Having them solve the 99 question I wrote title and question on
white board and had them copy it down, then work together and solve. I had them move in closer together so they
could be more of a group. Having an expert in Mayan, Egyptian, and Chinese-Japanese system to help explain to
peers how to solve it, I also had to step in to explain Mayan system further since they use lots of 20 instead of 10.
Then they had more practice with all the systems. Whenever they have to copy things into note book takes more
time. I think it is good practice to write in exercise book instead of text for when they need more room to solve for
harder problems. I went over how to set it up, and they loved the example of height with units I used. I also said
there would be a math club help for those who want extra help on Tuesday during lunch, and there is a formative
quiz next Wednesday. I changed the homework to just the review set and all questions, not the chapter questions. I
dont want to overload them with homework, but I also said if they get a question wrong it would be a good idea to
go back to that section and do more questions on topic for extra practice. Classroom management is not an issue
with this class of 4. E needs to do corrections on his homework, didnt finish because he didnt understand what a
question was asking. I could have printed a copy of the chart for #3 instead of having them copy it in their notebook
to give them more time to solve question in class. Last 5 min. they took a school survey.
