First scene

(Place : any administration.---------------- Time : present and future)

Farid enters the scene looking at the ground as if he had lost
something.
o Wahida: what are you looking at Farida. Whats there. Have you
lost any money!
o Farida: more than money. Something bigger and better.
o Wahida: oh my God. There isnt anything bigger than money these
times, I guess.
o Farida: Stupid idiot!!! There are a lot of things bigger than money.
o Wahida: like what!
o Farida: dignity, solidarity, fidelity, honesty and more and more
o Wahida: now you prove that you are the idiot not me! Are you going
to find those things here stupid!
o Farida: they are everywhere. Just we have to keep looking. There is
a light at the end of every tunnel. Dont you know that?
o Wahida: then. I think I should help you.
o Farida: of course. Thats part of the mission my friend. Its solidarity
... the beginning of the beginning
They keep going around and looking at the ground. Wahid
approached Farid
o Wahida: it seems to me my friend we are not going to find anything
here. We are in the wrong place.
o Farida: why you are so pessimistic. I said to you that those things
are bigger than money. We are not going to get them overnight. Be
patient. Thats part of the mission
o Wahida: this is an administration. Here works a bad person. I saw
him cleaning the ground. He must have cleaned everything, ..
ahh ..you see dust and values. For him, values are dust. He must
have thrown everything into the rubbish can. Go search the rubbish
can. You will find all the values there. Then! That will be the end of it.
o Farida: you mean the worker who
o Wahida: yeah, yeah hypocrisy, nepotism and after all bribery he
always takes bribes.
o Farida: I see. Thats exactly the disease. Thats the disease. Thats
the disease. But we shouldnt be pessimistic. Every disease has a
cure.
Second scene

Employee, who usually takes bribes, enters

o Worker: what are you doing here men? Playing! This is an

administration not a park.
o Wahida: I need a birth contract.
o Farida: and me, if I have the right to talk, I need a residency
attestation.
o Worker: you need a birth contract and you need a residency
attestation. You both need to pay.

o Wahida and Farida: pay! What?

o Worker: dont really know what to pay! A coffee, tea, a bottle of
water, bring a breakfast you know
( the worker sits
on his desk and wahid and farid approach the desk)
o Wahida: it seems that you have a rich dictionary for bribes
o Worker: ehh... bribes ... bribes no one talks about bribes here
o Farida: talking about it indirectly! Thats it. Its our right to get
what we need. This is a public administration!
o Worker: yeah! Its your right. And its your right to wait, to stand in
a long, long queue and its my right to tell you to go and come
tomorrow and tomorrow has its tomorrow isnt it?.

Farida and Wahida: you need to pay!
Jihan: what about a residency attestation. Do I need to pay!
Farida and Wahida: of course.
Hala and Jihan: but thats our right.
Worker: and its your right to wait in a long, long queue and to
go and come again tomorrow and again and again until you pay
Hala and Jihan: this is a direct demand of bribery.
Worker: Again !! Bribery!! Damn it. Whos talking about bribery
here. I dont say bribery. I always say coffee or tea or or
Hala and Jihan: different names, same thing. Its corruption.
Farida: we will fight it all together. We are not going to pay
anything.
Wahida: bribery is against morality.
Farida: and corruption blocks development.
Fourth scene (Boss enters the scene)

o Boss: whats the matter! Whats going on here?.

o Farida, Wahida, Hala and Jihan: this worker here is demanding
bribes.
o Boss: bribes, bribery thats forbidden by law and morality.
o Farida: he has no morals sir.
o Worker: eehh......they are lying. I didnt call for any bribery sir.
o Farida: are you afraid now? Are all these people here lying?
o Hala: what do you call a coffee, tea, a bottle of water, a breakfast
isnt that bribery?
o Jihan: you have a salary so you should do your work perfectly
o Wahida: if people do their work correctly, our country will not be
lagging behind
o Hala: you should have some respect for yourself
o Worker (looking at the boss and defending himself with tone of complot with
the boss): I didnt ask for any bribe! You know, I just said coffee,
eehh......you know what I mean.

o Boss: mmm, yeah, I see, I think the man is asking just for coffee,
isnt it?
(At this moment hala waves
to Jihan and both leave out)
o Farida: but sir isnt this an indirect way to ask for bribes?
o Boss: mmmm, just give him coffee so that he can give you what you
want.
o Wahida: (staring at Farida): you see, what I told from the very
beginning. You cannot find what you were looking for here. I told you
that you will not find no values no transparency nothing
o Farida: emmm, but ehhhhhh but ehhhhhh
o Wahida: but what? what? What? Everything is clear.
o Farid: But there must be a way to stop, ehhh
(At this moment hala and Jihan come back to the stage and wave to Wahida and
Farida to join them)

Hala: Listen to me guys. We have got an idea here.

Farida: an idea!! What do you mean exactly?
Hala: I think technology would work to fight corruption.
Jihan: yes! Technology. Do you get our point guys?
Farida: mmmmmh, do you mean Facebook and YouTube?
Hala: yes, exactly. Why dont we use our mobile phones to record
these corrupted people taking bribes and posting them to the whole
world on facebook?
o Farida: YES! Thats a good idea. You see Wahida; I told you there is
a light at the end of every tunnel. Say with me guys live long
facebook, live long YouTube, live long Facebook
