POWER SUPPLY
Connect the power wires to the connections n. 1 & 2 and switch on the power supply to the instrument, on the display
compares at the beginning the software self test. Subsequently the instrument is predisposed in measure and it is ready
for the normal functioning.

Calibration

Dip the RX probe in the buffer solution and push the calibration button CAL, on the right the ZERO red led
blinks showing the regulation of the zero of the probe.

Regulate through the button UP or the button DOWN the value indicated by the display till to read the value of
the buffer solution (ex. 475 mV), push the button CAL to end the calibration.
If during the operation of calibration you dont push any button for 60 seconds, the instrument goes back again
automatically in measure mode.
REGULATION OF INTERVENTION POINTS
Regulation set point 1

To program the n.1 intervention point of the instrument push the button SET, the corresponding n.1 green led
blinks, the display shows the previous set value (default 500 mV), regulate through the button UP or DOWN the
value indicated on the display till the desired one. Push the SET button to confirm the chosen value and go to
the set of the hysteresis.

The instrument shows the value previously set ex. 01H (hysteresys +- 10 mV), through the UP or DOWN button
it is possible to modify this parameter with steps of 1 mV. Push the SET button to confirm the chosen value and
go to the setting of the delay time.

The display shows the value of delay time in seconds that refers to the activation and deactivation of the set 1
output from the moment that the measure passes through the value of the setpoint (ex. D02= 2 seconds of
delay). Through the UP and DOWN buttons it is possible to modify the delay till 99 seconds. Push the SET
button to confirm and go to the setting of n. 2 set point.
Regulation set point 2

After the setting of set point 1 the instrument goes automatically to the visualisation of the set point 2 indicated
by the blinking of the green led 2. All the operations are the same to the ones of the regulation of set point 1 till
the programming of the delay time that ends the procedure of set point 2 and brings again the instrument in
measure visualization.

If during the set operation you dont push any button for 120 seconds the instrument goes again automatically in
measure mode.
Normal or Reverse mode

Normally both the set points are predisposed for a normal regulation that means that the exit is activated when
the measure is lower than the set point value. Activate the F1 function for the set point1 and the F2 function for
the setpoint2 if you want an inverse dosing (exit activated when the measure is higher than the set point value).
Hysteresis or intervention window

The hysteresis creates a zone around the set point where no changing of functioning is done by the instrument,
neither of activation nor deactivation of the exit relays. This is necessary when there are sudden and fast
changes of the measure around the set point value. Increasing the value of the hysteresis it is possible to
increase the distance between the points of activation and deactivation of the exits. If you activate the F3
function for set point 1 and/or the function F4 for set point 2 the functioning mode is changed from hysteresis to
double door set intervention. The double door set mode (or intervention window) allows to open a window

around the set point where the output is OFF (ex.: set point regulated at 600 mV and hysteresis 10H , F1_A,
F3_A opens a window between 500 mV and 700 mV, inside the output is OFF and outside is ON). This allows
for example, to control through a rel an acoustic alarm to maintain under control the Rx value in the plant. It is
possible to change the ON and OFF state with F1 and F2 functions respectively for set point 1 and 2.
Current output
4-20 mA recorder current output

With F6_d function the 4-20mA current analogical output is habilitated for recorder signal . The exit is 4mA with
a value in measure of 0 mV and it increased till 20 mA with a 1000 mV value.
Output Set2 PWM and 4-20 mA proportional current output

When the set point 2 output is programmed proportional in time (PWM) (F6 function activated), the 4-20mA
analogical exit is proportional to the set point 2 value. The interval of proportionality can be adjusted from 250
mV to 130 mV activating F7. So that the mA output is 4mA when the set value corresponds with the value of the
measure, while increased till 20 mA (difference of 250 mV) with the augmentation of the difference between the
measured value and the intervention point. Activating the F7 function it is possible to squeeze the regulation
interval with a difference between the set point and the measured value of 130 mV. If, at the end, it is activated
F2 function, the direction of regulation is changed from normal to reverse.

FUNCTIONS
The programming of the functions, activated or deactivated by the user, allows to the instrument to change some settings
that make flexible the use in a lot of applications. In this paragraph the way of programming of the functions is explained :
Function F1_d

Normal regulation of the set point 1

Function F1_A

Reverse regulation of the set point 1

Function F2_d

Normal regulation of the set point 2

Function F2_A

Reverse regulation of the set point 2

Function F3_d
Function F3_A

Functioning of the set point 1 with hysteresis

Function F4_d
Function F4_A
Function F5_d
Function F6_d
Function F6_A
Function F7_d
Function F7_A
Function F8

Functioning of the set point 1 with double door set of intervention

Functioning of the set point 2 with hysteresis
Functioning of the set point 2 with double door set of intervention
Not used
Functioning of set point 2 ON/OFF mode and current output 4-20 mA for recorder
Functioning of the set point 2 proportional in time
And output in current 4-20mA proportional to the set point 2
Set point 2 proportional output and 4-20mA with range regulation 250 mV
Set point 2 proportional output and 4-20mA with range regulation 130 mV
Not used

ACTIVATION /DEACTIVATION OF THE FUNCTIONS

Push the button FUN, on the first two display on the left F1compares, while on the display on the right the state
of the function compares ; d in the case it is deactivated and A in the case it is activated.

Through Up button it is possible to activate the function, on the contrary with the button DOWN you can
deactivate it.

To confirm the choice push the button FUN, if you have changed the function this is memorized and you can
exit from the procedure, while if you have not done any modification of the indicated function you pass to the
next one, till to arrive to the function F8 then the instrument goes out from the procedure and comes back to the
visualization measure.
