Fuel Injection Pump Timing Tool

October 2008

This service bulletin applies to the 1100 Series six and four cylinder engines models PJ, PK, NH and NJ.
A new and improved fuel injection pump timing tool has been introduced. The new fuel injection pump timing
tool has spring washers and improved tolerances.
The new fuel injection pump timing tool (Perkins Tool Number 27610352) replaces (Perkins Tool Number
27610302). Use the new fuel injection pump timing tool (Perkins Tool Number 27610352) to check and set the
fuel injection pump timing. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting Fuel Injection Timing - Check
for the correct procedure.
The fuel injection pump timing tool (Perkins Tool Number 27610302) must not be used.
Contact the customer support desk at Perkins Distribution Centre, Irlam, Manchester, for a RGR to return the
fuel injection pump timing tool (Perkins Tool Number 27610302) for a credit.
