Inputting Work Offset data

Procedure

Press soft key [WORK] on the ALL IO screen.

Select EDIT mode.

Press soft key [(OPRT)].

Press soft key [N READ].

Set the name of the file that you want to input.
Type a file name, and press soft key [F NAME].
If the input file name is omitted, default input file name
EXT_WKZ.TXT" is assumed.

Press soft key [EXEC].
This starts reading the offset data, and "INPUT" blinks in the lower
right part of the screen. When the read operation ends, the "INPUT"
indication disappears.
To cancel the input of the offset data, press soft key [CANCEL].

Set the file name to be output.
Type a file name, and press soft key [F NAME].
If the file name is omitted, default file name EXT_WKZ.TXT" is
assumed.

Press soft key [EXEC].
This starts outputting the offset data, and "OUTPUT" blinks in the
lower right part of the screen. When the read operation ends, the
"OUTPUT" indication disappears.
To cancel the output of the offset data, press soft key [CANCEL].

Outputting Stored Pitch Error data

Depending on the CNC Controls Option content, similar procedures are
available to upload and download Tool Management Data, Alarm History
Data, Operation History Data, Periodic Maintenance Data, and Maintenance
Information.

On the ALL IO Screen press the [+] soft key to see more selections for
upload and download.

Procedure for upload and download is the same regardless of using the
RS232 Port, PCMCIA Memory card, or Ethernet port.

Uploading and Downloading File s Using


The ALL IO Screen
Description:
Just by using the ALL IO screen, you can input and output programs, parameters,
offset data, pitch error compensation data, macro variables, workpiece coordinate
system data, operation history data, and tool management data. The following
explains how to display the ALL IO screen:

Note:
The CNC must be in EDIT Mode to operate the ALL IO Screen

Parameter Settings:
Memory Card Operation:
Paramter 20 = 4

RS 232 Operation:
Parameter 20 = 0 for 1st RS232 Port
Parameter 100#2 = 1
Parameter 101#0 = 1
Parameter 102 = 0 (for a PC) or 3 (For FANUC handy File)
Parameter 103 = 11
(Note: Handy File or PC software needs to be set for a BAUD rate of:
9600,E,7,2

Ethernet Operation:
On the System Pages Set the Built In Ethernet Port :
1 .) Press the [SYSTEM] function key .
2 .) Soft keys [EMBED PORT] and [PCMCIA LAN] appear.
(When there is no soft keys, press the continue key.)
3 .) To display the Ethernet Setting screen for the embedded
Ethernet port or the PCMCIA Ethernet card, press soft key
[EMBED PORT]
4. ) Press soft keys [COMMON] and [FOCAS2] and then enter
parameters for the items that appear.
5.) Set FTP settings, Press soft key [FTP TRANS] and then
enter parameters for the items that appear.
Parameter 20 = 9
