SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

The coverage of this study, Recycled wood bark of Malunggay as Hand-made paper
is to finish it successfully. Even though some of the materials are expensive. This study will
give us all we need, the materials and procedure is also here. I choose this study because I
know that is more unique and will help us in reducing people who are cutting trees by
illegal way. The people will be admired and will be willing to buy the Hand-made paper if
they will know that they will prevent the people who are doing illegal cutting to stop it
because our environment will be destroy if they still continue to do that. For example, is
that we can get a piece of wood bark of Malunggay and make as a hand-made paper that
can help the people to make boxes. They can use it to put things in their houses so that they
can keep their surroundings clean.

INTRODUCTION

Malunggay (Moringa Oleifera) is a fast growing, evergreen, deciduous tree. It is

also called miracle vegetable. Clarification needed ] It can reach a height of
1012 m and the trunk can reach a diameter of 45 cm. The bark has a whitishgrey colour and is surrounded by thick cork. Young shoots have purplish or
greenish-white hairy bark. The tree has an open crown of drooping, fragile
branches and the leaves build up a feathery foliage of trip
innate leaves. The flowers are fragrant and bisexual, surrounded by five unequal
thinly veined yellowish-white petals. The flowers are approximately 1-1.5 cm long
and 2 cm broad. They grow on slender hairy stalks in spreading or drooping later
flower clusters which have a longitude of 1025 cm. Flowering begins within the
first six months after planting. In seasonally cool regions, flowering will only occur
once a year between April and June. In more constant seasonal temperature and
with constant rainfall, flowering can happen twice or even all year-round. The fruit
is a hanging, three-sided brown capsule of 2045 cm size which holds dark brown,
globular seeds with a diameter of approximately 1 cm. The seeds have three whitish papery
wings and are dispersed by wind and water.

Its bark can be used as a handmade paper. The problem that connects in this
project is what will be the texture, cost/value and acceptance by the consumer if recycled
wood bark of Malunggay is used in making paper. The answer or hypothesis in the said
problem is we think that if recycled wood bark of Malunggay is used in making paper,
then its texture will be rough, it is cheap and it will be acceptable by the consumer. With
this part the prime objective of this project is to enhance the knowledge and patience of the
maker.
