1. Speak about the impact of music on your life.

Music has always played an important role in each person’s life. Besides the fact that
music is an art, it was always seen as a way of getting relaxed or as a source of
entertainment.
Seeking about myself, music has become a necessity in my life.
First of all, music is a very good source of relaxation. Nowadays life has become more
and more stressful, so people search for different ways of disconnecting themselves from
the quotidian problems. The method that has success in my case is listening to music. At
the end of the day, after a heavy test or a great effort I listen to some calm music or to my
favorite one.
In this time, I forget about my problems and get the chance to recharge my batteries.
Secondly, music makes me get in a good mood, becoming a more calm and optimistic
person.
For example, when I am upset or angry only a piece of my favorite music makes me
happy and I instantly forget the reason of my anger or sadness. Another example would
be listening to music in the morning making me feel fresh and optimistic that that day is
going to be a perfect one...
Last but not least, music has an important role at each party. How is a party like without
music? Music at such events brings up people together; they socialize, have fun and
dance.
Another reason why music is important in my life is the fact that helps me remind events
from the past. I usually associate events with a certain song, so after years when I hear
that song again I automatically rememorize that event.
In conclusion, music has a great impact in my life, not only because it is a way of
relaxation, it also made me a more calm and optimistic person

2. Speak about a hobby you have or you would like to have.

A hobby is hard work you wouldn't do for a living!

Hobbies are practiced for interest and enjoyment, rather than for financial reward. I
would like to dance if I would have the necessary time.
Dancing is a very healthy hobby. You can loose weight, train yours muscles or simply
stay fit by dancing an hour every day.
There are more types of dances: the so called standard dances like the valcer, the Latin
dances like salsa or merengue, and modern dances like hip-hop or break dance. People of
different ages choose different types of dances.
I think making a habit of dancing is a healthy ting. Dancing keeps the dancer fit; it works
almost all of your muscles from had to your toes. It helps to control your blood pressure
and it helps you to develop right posture
Dancing keeps fit not only your body but your mind too. Nobody saw a sad dancer.
Dancing cheers you up and give energy on exhausting days. Dance is one of the most
artistic ways of doing sports. Even is it requires some kin of skills it worth.

3. If you could change one important thing about your hometown, what would
you change?

My home town is a big and beautiful one. Of course, there are many things that I
would change but first of all I would change the streets.
Our city is more crowded with cars and it is more difficult to travel in good
conditions. The streets have holes which damage the cars.
Because there aren’t enough parks for the cars we can see them every where: on
the pavement or in the streets. The authorities should take measures to repair the
streets and build parks for the cars to create comfortable conditions for the traffic.
At peak hours we are stuck in the traffic and it is very difficult to arrive at a
destination in time.
I think this is a problem for all the towns of our country and all the drivers are
angry with his situation.

4. Speak about a day in your life when something happened and changed your
life.

My life changed years go, the day when I had an exam at maths. I was really tensed and
helpless. I lost my confidence and I was really mad when I entered the exam hall. One of
my classmates was sitting next to me. Her name was Anna. She gave a pleasing smile
when she saw me. She was a reserved person who always spoke with others, only if there
was a necessity and I have ridiculed her several times for being like this. I felt very
embarrassed to sit next to her. She asked me if I had prepared well for the exam. I
couldn’t say anything. She asked me if she could help me and clarify some doubts and I
couldn't refuse her. In 30 minutes until the exam she explained me many concepts. When
the exam was about to start she wished me good luck. Her words gave me confidence.
After I completed the exam, I was waiting for Anna. She came, and I thanked her for the
help and encouragement. When the teacher announced that we both received full marks
in that exam, I couldn’t control and I kissed her. From that day we both became good
friends.

I always thought that Anna was a reserved person but she helped me in spite of the fact
that sometimes I was making bad jokes on her.

In conclusion, that day really changed my life because I learned not to judge people
anymore and I made a real friend.

5.Speak about the advantages of being a famous person. Give arguments and
examples to sustain your opinion.
Starting from an early age up to the end of our lives, every one dreams to become a
famous person. It's true that there is a lot of hard work and many responsibilities
involved, but still, it's impossible not to consider all the advantages that the celebrities
enjoy.
The greatest advantage of being famous is that celebrities are usually very rich so they
have easier life than other people. They live in beautiful houses maintained by
housekeepers, gardeners, cooks and other servants. They do not have to worry about
paying bills, can afford the best clothes and drive the latest models of fast cars. Apart
from that, they travel all over the world and you can see many places. What is more, they
spend their holidays in expensive resorts; get the best hotel rooms and the most efficient
service.

Secondly, when you are famous, your name is known by everyone. Then, you are invited
to the best parties and meet other celebrities. Your fans send you letters to tell you how
much they admire you. Everybody knows you, loves you and even worships you. You are
in the eyes and heart of the media all the time, everybody is watching you. Think about
all those fan-clubs full of people eager to know everything about you, eager to predict
and comment on your actions. Any style you may adopt places you in the field of fashion.
Step by step you become a role model for them. Children wish to be like you when they
grow up, teenagers tend to imitate you and adults admire your attitude.

It is said that celebrities own a lot of money and enjoy luxury. And this is true. They are
able to fulfill all their dreams. Most of them are known to be charitable and helping the
poor, the sick and the unfortunate. I believe that this is what really makes them feel great
and important, showing their feelings and compassion to those who really need it.
Moreover, they will surely appreciate it a lot and turn you into a kind of hero, their hero.
And now, not only that they feel great by doing this, but also people will love them more.

All this being said, I cannot stop thinking about all the advantages I have mentioned
above and dreaming to be such a person, even for one day, or at least, half of it.

6. Pets occupy an esteemed place in many of our households, often being

treated as members of the family. Speak about the benefits of keeping pets.

Anyone who has ever loved a pet knows how much joy that relationship can bring, but
there is increasing scientific evidence that the unique bond we share with our pets
dramatically enriches our lives, our psychical health and our emotional well-being. Pets
can help to reduce stress, relieve loneliness and depression and prevent heart disease.
They offer a source of amusement, pleasure, and companionship. They provide
opportunities for outdoor exercise and socialization. And, according to some studies, they
can decrease our blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Pets can be there for you in ways that people can’t. They can offer love and
companionship, and can also enjoy comfortable silences, keep secrets. And they could be
the best antidote to loneliness. In fact, research shows that nursing home residents
reported less loneliness when visited by dogs than when they spent time with other
people. All these benefits can reduce the amount of stress people experience in response
to feelings of social isolation and lack of social support from people.

Pets give responsibility, they are loyal, humorous and they are always waiting for you
when you get home. Even if they can't say it with words pets love us too. They also need
us. Some are right now in pet stores waiting for someone to take them home. Pets can
even save lives. There have been several incidents of pets attacking intruders or awaking
people up when their house is on fire. Some are great alarm clocks. Just imagine your cat
or dog jumping on you while you are asleep

it’s important to realize that owning a pet isn’t for everyone. Pets do come with additional
work and responsibility, which can bring its own stress. However, for most people, the
benefits of having a pet are more than disadvantages.

7. Describe your best friend (physical appearance, moral qualities - supported by

examples - hobbies/interests) and say why he/she is special to you.

My best friend is Anna. She is 1, 60 tall and has long hair. She's very pretty; she is really
sweet and crazy, extremely kind, funny, honest, helpful, caring and protective. She’s also
very smart and has a great sense of humor. She is a wonderful person who always there
for me and I appreciate that. And of course, I do the same for her. We like the same
things and we think positive about many aspects of our lives. We do everything together
and have the same hobbies like computers, music, tennis, jogging, and photography. She
likes to visit new places like I do, that's why we made many trips together.

She talks to me when I have problems, protects me, do her best for mean and we support
each other. She accepts me for who I am, she gives me confidence and I can trust her
with the most embarrassing secrets. There are times when I am in need of real help, when
I’m in serious trouble, I’ve made a huge mistake or I’m really depressed and sad. Anna
will be more than happy to help me in these situations, without reservation. She doesn't
judge me and she's here to offer me advice and support. She picks me up when I’m down
and she offers me a shoulder where to cry when I’m upset. She's with me in every
moment and we share everything. I can say that she's interested in every aspect of my
life.

I would certainly say that Anna is my best friend because we have shared stories and
experiences with one another that I wouldn't share with any other person.

8. Describe the town where you live or another place in which you would like to live.

If I have the chance to live in another place, for sure, I’ll choose to visit Rome. Actually
that was my dream since fifteen years. Really, that would be the most beautiful thing in
my life.

The Italian capital, Rome, is a fantastic destination. Built on 7 hills, it's one of the most
popular tourist destinations in the world with incredible antiquities, gorgeous piazzas,
stunning fountains, great food and a wonderful ambiance. It's hard to describe Rome in a
few words because it's vast and rich in art, monuments; it's a historic city which has
preserved its charm and independence throughout the centuries. Rome's history can be
read in every monument and palace. The city could be described as a gigantic open-air
museum, visited each year by millions of tourists, scholars and pilgrims from all over the
world. Rome's beauty is accessible both day and night and the same are to be said for its
vast range of entertainment—theatres, cinemas, operas, disco.

One of the most notable things about Rome is its stunning architecture. Heading the list
of Rome's ancient monuments is of course the Colosseum and The Temple of the
Pantheon which represents one of the true glories of ancient Rome. The Palatine is the
oldest part of the city and home to the many of the ancient sites. To the North of the
Palatine hill are the vast remains of the Roman Forum, once the social, political, and
economic center of the city. Piazza San Pietro is one of the most visited places on
Earth.Vatican, the world's smallest state is also here. Another Rome's famous landmarks
are the Trivia Fountain. Rome has also much to offer in the way of modern art because
here are many museums and galleries.

The 'Eternal City' holds a fascination for young people, tourists, businessmen, pilgrims
and anyone in search of history, art, culture, business and entertainment. This means that
Rome's tourist season remains uninterrupted all year and despite the ample choice of
hotels, it is not always easy to find a room at the last minute. The majority of the luxury
and five-star hotels can be found in the historic centre. In spite of the fact that they are
modern, they are as elegant and refined as their ancient surroundings.

Rome it's a place where you can find yourself living in a miniature world with countless
things to see and to do. I would like to live here because I think I could experience
beautiful sensations every day.

9.Speak about your favorite actor / actress. Motivate your choice.

My favorite actress is Angelina Jolie because she is not only beautiful but also smart and
talented. She was born on 4 June 1975 in Los Angeles, USA. Her father, Jon, was already
an established superstar. She started her career very young and she didn't rely on her
father's help but on her own talent. At age 11, Angelina began studying at the Lee
Strasberg Theatre Institute. She studied film at New York University and later joined the
Met Theatre Group in Los Angeles.

Her first good movie was the Bone Collector where she started along with Denzel
Washington. She was also the star of the series based on a computer game The Tomb
Raider. When she filmed Mr. and Mrs. Smith she met Brad Pitt. Eventually they got
married being the most famous couple in the world. She was voted as the sexiest woman
alive and one of the most intelligent celebrities from Hollywood. She was also named one
of the most influential people in the world. She is strong, independent and dynamic and
she's an exceptional mother and actress.
I don't like her only because she's a good actress but also because she understands with
the less fortunate people of the world. While filming Tomb Raider in Cambodia she
witnessed the natural beauty, culture and poverty of that country. She considered this an
eye opening experience and so began the humanitarian chapter of her life. She began
visiting refugee camps around the world and came to be formally appointed as a
Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Some of
her experiences were written and published in her popular book "Notes from My Travels"
whose profits go to United Nations. Angelina has stated that she now plans to spend most
of her time in humanitarian efforts, to be financed by her actress salary. She devotes one
third of her income to savings, one third to living expenses and one third to charity.

In 2002, Angelina adopted a Cambodian refugee boy named Maddox and in 2005
adopted an Ethiopian refugee girl named Zahara. She also adopted a three-year-old
Vietnamese boy named Pax. She adopted 3 children of another race but this doesn't stop
her to love them like she loves her own daughter. In 2003 she acted in a movie named
Beyond Borders which reflects some of her real life humanitarian experiences.

10. How do movies or television influence people's behavior? Use reasons and
specific examples to support your answer.

Strongly believe that movies and television have a great influence in people's behavior. It
is an undeniable fact that most people in the world have access to either a television or a
cinema theatre and do make use of them at a regular basis. Some of the ways in which
such media can affect people are stated below.

Firstly, the main group of people who are attracted to the television and movies are the
teenagers. This is the group that is most susceptible to change. They often try to emulate
what they see on screen and in order to be a hero themselves. It is not uncommon to see
young people try to mimic the stunts and heroic deeds performed by their idols or role-
models on screens. Sometimes, this will have a deleterious effect as young people try to
display some violent and aggressive behavior that they visualize in the screen.

Secondly, each country or region has its own culture and it is necessary to preserve them
in order to exhibit cultural diversity to the future generations. There are a lot of programs
and scenes that are being broadcasted in televisions and movies that might not confirm to
the mindset of the local society. But sometimes young people get influenced by these
scenes. They get a false impression that they too should live their life the way people live
in foreign movies. They tend to change themselves according to what they see. This
might destroy the native practices and customs which are highly undesired.

Lastly, some of the programs that appear in movies and televisions contain a lot of adult
content which is inappropriate for young children. Some of these programs are
broadcasted without appropriate warnings. This might pose a threat to the children. They
might get attracted to such inappropriate material thereby indulge themselves in wrong
practices.

These are some of the ways in which people's behavior can be affected by mass media
such as television and movies. So there is a need to look into this matter and to obtain a
suitable solution to such problems.

11 . Dependent on computers

Computers represent one of the most significant inventions in civilization of mankind.

Computers are just to make things easier and faster. We are using the technology for a
better life. It has become part of our lives and we are more than dependent on computers.

Depending on computer is not a good thing. I think we should use but not depend on it.
Many people today are enjoying a day-to-day reliance on the Internet. They talk about e-
shopping, e-trading, e-therapy and just about "e-everything”. One of many concerns is
that humans will no longer need to relate with one another for information and services
the Internet can now provide. In my opinion, the accelerating speed of information should
not replace human communication, thinking or creativity.

Computers can be used for a variety of things like: write a letter and keep in touch, do
shopping, communicating with each other at great distances, meet new people, share new
ideas, downloading music, videos, pictures and easy way to store information .The
advantages are endless but there are also many disadvantages like: fraud, child
exploitation, data corruption, violence, pornography or theft of money, credit and
personal information. Much information about people is now made public and shared
between private organizations. In the right hands, this information can be helpful, but in
the wrong hands can have several detrimental effects.

Many studies show that children spend more time in front of their computers, playing
video games or chatting than going out playing in the park with other children. Children
loose their time and stay up too late and this can cause health problems especially at the
eyes.

In spite of the bad aspects, computers have become such an important part of our life that
is hard to imagine living without them. Whether it is bad or good, we can't stop
depending on it.
