REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2013-251

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING THE HEALTH AND SANITATION CODE
OF 2013 OF THE CITY OF ILOILO PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL
GOVERNMENT CODE OF 1991
Sponsored by Councilor Lyndon V. Acap, co-sponsored by
Councilors Jason R. Gonzales and Ely A Estante, Jr., duly
seconded by Councilors Rodel F. Agado and Carlos P. Guarin

WHEREAS, Republic Act 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 empowers the
local government units to enact ordinances that redound to the general welfare of its people.
WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the local government units to ensure the delivery
of better health and sanitation services to its constituents;
WHEREAS, there is a need to enact an ordinance that woutd govern the people's action
on all matters related to general hygiene and sanitation

Section 120. - SEPARABILITY CLAUSE. If for any purpose, any part or provision of this Code shall be held unconstitutional or
invalid, other parts or provisions hereof which are not affected shall continue to be in full force
an effect.

Section 121.- REPEALING CLAUSE. All ordinances and administrative circulars and executive orders, or parts thereof which
are found to be inconsistent with the provisions of this code are hereby repealed or amended
accordingly.
Section 122. - EFFECTIVITY. This Code shall take effect 15 days after its publication in a newspaper of general
circulation.
