REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2013-292

AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITION OF TWO (2) EXECUTIVE
ASSISTANT I (SG-14) SANGGUNIANG PANLUNGSOD, ILOILO CITY
Sponsored by Councilor Jason R. Gonzales and seconded by Councilors Joshua C.
Alim, Lyndon V. Acap, Rodel F. Agado,, Eduardo Pefiaredondo, Liezl Joy Z. Salazar
WHEREAS, last July 5, 2013 the Committee on Good Government and Public
Accountability (Blue Ribbon Committee) received a letter from Hon. Jose S. Espinosa Ill, City
Vice Mayor;
WHEREAS, the letter includes the request of Hon. Jose S. Espinosa III, City Vice Mayor,
for the abolition of three (3) vacant positions of Administrative Aide I, Items No. 63, 68 and 69
(SG-1), Sangguniang Panlungsod Office and at the same time creating two (2) positions; Two (2)
Executive Assistant I, SG-14, Sangguniang Panlungsod
WHEREAS, the creation of the vacant positions will not entail additional costs on the part
of the Iloilo City Government;

WHEREAS, the positions have been deemed necessary and urgent by the Office of the City
Vice Ma or for faster service to our constituents;

WHEREAS, Section 76 of Republic Act 7160 states that:

Sec. 76 - "Every LGU shall design and implement its owns structure and
staffing pattern taking into consideration its service requirements and
financial capability, subject to the minimum standards and guidelines
prescribed by the Civil Service Commission. "
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City oflloilo, that:
Section 1. - There is hereby created a position of two (2) Executive Assistant I, SG-14,
Sangguniang Panlungsod Office, Iloilo City
Section 2. - The funds for the said positions shall be charged against the abolished three (3)
vacant positions stated herein of the Sangguniang Panlungsod Office.
Section 3. - This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
