APPLICATION TECHNIQUE FOR WEARLON 711

*These coatings are sometimes used in different combinations or by themselves,

as needed.

(A)
Testing To See If the Product Cures Properly:
1. Wear proper PPE (Air purifying or air-fed respirator, protective gloves, eye
or face protection) and ensure adequate ventilation.
2. Clean the surface to be coated with water and make sure there are no
residual oil or grease clinging to the surface.
3. Apply small patch of the 711 on the surface to be coated using foam brush
or roller.
4. If the coating remains tacky after 2 hours of curing, then a primer such as
Wearlon 722 or Wearlon 2020.90 must be used first before applying 711.
Go to Step (B).
5. If primer is not needed, go to Step (C).

(B)

If Primer is Needed:

(a)Wearlon 2020.90 Primer

(Adhension properties, excellent elongation and water resistance)
1. Wear proper PPE (Air purifying or air-fed respirator, protective gloves,
eye or face protection) and ensure adequate ventilation.
2. Clean the surface to be coated with water and make sure there are no
residual oil or grease clinging to the surface.
3. Shake Wearlon 2020.90-A and 2020.90-B.

4. Add the Wearlon 2020.90-B to the 2020.90-A, shake and mix well. Use
the mixture within 1 hour after mixing.
Note: For less than the pre-packaged kit, mix 11 parts of A with 2 parts
of B.
5. Apply light coating of Wearlon 2020.92 over the surface using foam
brush or roller. Roll 1st coat, and then within 30 45 minutes with 2 nd
coat.
6. Allow the Wearlon 2020.90 coating to cure overnight before applying
the Wearlon 711. Curing completes in 5 days.
7. Clean up the tools immediately with water and soap before coating
cures.

(b)Wearlon 722
(Rapid hardness development, hardness, chemical and abrasion
resistance, water borne)
1. Wear proper PPE (Air purifying or air-fed respirator, protective gloves,
eye or face protection) and ensure adequate ventilation.
2. Clean the surface to be coated with water and make sure there are no
residual oil or grease clinging to the surface.
3. Shake Wearlon 722.
4. Apply a light coating of Wearlon 722 over the surface using foam brush
or roller.
5. Allow the Wearlon 722 coating to cure for at least one to two hours
before applying the Wearlon 711.
6. Clean up the tools immediately with water and soap before coating
cures.

(C)
Wearlon 711 Top Coat:
1. Wear proper PPE (Air purifying or air-fed respirator, protective gloves, eye
or face protection) and ensure adequate ventilation.
2. Shake Wearlon 711-A and 711-B.
3. Add the Wearlon 711-B to the Wearlon 711-A, shake and mix well. Use the
mixture within 6 hours after mixing.
Note: 5% addition of Wearlon 711-B to Wearlon 711-A.
4. Apply a light coating of Wearlon 711 over the surface as one-step coat
procedure using foam brush or roller. The least amount of coating to form
a continuous film gives the best results.
5. Allow 3 4 hours to cure.
6. Clean up the tools immediately with water and soap before coating cures.
