Pre request plan for the upgrade
take the snap shot of Cell manager us1455sapadm05.dir.slb.com and IS
us1455sapadm10.dir.slb.com
Please take the IDB backup of us1455sapadm05 and please note down the
media of IDB backup ( to restore the IDB if anything goes wrong)
please take the copy of media.log file in the path
E:\ProgramData\OmniBack\log\server of the cell manger us1455sapadm05 so
from that we can get the IDB backup detail if we miss to take the IDB media
report
please make sure you download all the 9.07 bundle( windows and Linux) and
all the patches which mentioned below from the HPE passport site
Windows and Linux Bundle

Please download all the below mentioned patches for both Linux and windows which
include core, cell console, cell server, disc agent, media agent and VE agent

 Once you have downloaded all the bundle and patches in AMD server. please
move them to Unix installation server using the WINSCP
Once you done all the above steps, please inform the Holger , basis and DBA
team that you are going to upgrade the Site0 cell manager IS and all clients
and cell manager will not be available for on course of upgrade for backup
and restore so that they can take care of the archive and Trans Logs as those
are vital for production systems
Once you get the Green Signal you are good to go.

Work Plan for the installation :

 Please disable the script monitor in the cell manger and recycle the Data
protector services using the omnisv stop and make sure you kill all the hang
process and cell manger using the below mentioned command

taskkill /IM vbda.exe /F

taskkill /IM bsm.exe /F
taskkill /IM dbsm.exe /F
taskkill /IM vrda.exe /F
taskkill /IM uma.exe /F
taskkill /IM crs.exe /F
taskkill /IM rds.exe /F
taskkill /IM mmd.exe /F
taskkill /IM mma.exe /F
taskkill /IM bma.exe /F

After killing all the hang process. Please start the HPDP process in the cell manger
using the command omnisv start and please check all the services are up using the
command omnisv status then please run the DPWINBDL_00907 as administrator in
cell manger. Once it completed successfully Please run all the patches in the below
mentioned format
Core -> Cell Server -> Cell Console -> Others
Once you completed all installation. Please check that latest patch in the cell
manager using the command omnicheck patches. Which will display latest
patches you have installed in the cell manager. once you are able to see all
the patches in the cell manger and all looks good till cell manger perspective
.( you can check the latest patch in the cell manger GUI also)
Then please login into the IS (installation server) us1455sapadm10 and
please change urself as root user or directly you have to login as root.
Please copy the 9.07 bundle to \tmp location of the us1455sapadm10 server
using the WINSCP.
Once the copy completed, please unizip the tar file using the below
mentioned command
tar xvf DPLNXBDL_00907.tar
Once the extract completed. Please run the below mentioned command to
run the software the bundle
omnisetup.sh -bundleadd b907

 Once the bundle installation completed. Please install the remaining patches
in the above mentioned format
Once the installation completed. Please go GUI of the HPDP and upgrade the
IS ( installation Server )
Once all completed please check the latest patches in the IS and confirm all
looks good

Once the installation of the cell manger and IS completed. Please go to the
HPDP GUI and Upgrade all the client remotely.
Once all the above steps all followed correctly and implemented these conclude the
installation

Please run the backup and check whether all the backups are running fine
