Executive Summary

GlobalLinker is an online platform for small and medium businesses, which provides them with
Big business advantage. It is a place where the small and medium businesses will get the best
of deals and helpful business services which they are looking out for.
The aim of such businesses is to grow and widen their area of network, while thriving hard to
achieve these businesses face many challenges and difficulties. Keeping this in mind the
GlobalLinker Solution is built in such a manner that, the SMEs will be able to face the pain
points and will definitely get some help in their daily challenges.
The GlobalLinker acts as an Intranet solution for the SMEs and provides them with solutions for
some of the daily activities in which they are involved, at a single place.
Some of the solutions provided by the GlobalLinker platform to these SMEs are networking
services by creating an e-business card to grow the business; Information on the latest news,
articles & discussions specific to the industry; Calendar to manage the business schedule;
document management system to save, access & share files online; easy access to e-mail; a
website building solution for the businesses.
The GlobalLinker currently has around 40 industry listings for the users to select from. And for
all these industry users the look of GlobalLinker is same, also there is no difference in any
current solution provided by GlobalLinker to these entire varied user base. This has created a
need to improve and customize the existing version of GlobalLinker solution according to the
needs of the users from different industries.
Users from a varied industry base may be looking for something different and usable solutions
according to their requirements from the existing platform. Hence to live up to the user
expectations and to provide them with an enhanced version of GlobalLinker this project was
undertaken.
This project aims to come up with new solutions specific to the industry which when
implemented, surely enhance the existing version of GlobalLinker and thus will help in enriching
the user experience
The Project Onboarding new users on GlobalLinker is undertaken to achieve the same
objective of enhancing the existing version of GlobalLinker by coming up with such industry
specific solutions based on the research and by understand the user requirements.
