The advent of Automation in organizations is bound to create many changes in

the job pattern of workers. Artificial Intelligence can give immense insight and
tools to highly skilled workers but can lead to the complete displacement of
middle-skilled routine jobs. As technologies are developing at a breath-taking
pace (according to Elon Musk of Tesla, a fully functioning self-driving car is just
two years away), it will be immensely difficult for workers to adjust to the change
in this job pattern. A possible solution would be for organizations to take a longer
view and engage employees in skill-development training which would better
prepare them for the future. Organizations should also focus on recruiting and
retaining of highly skilled workers since their productivity is bound to increase
multifold in the coming years
Living in a Networked age has allowed organizations to have many temporary
and 3rd party workers (uberization of work). Organizations should redesign their
workplace to accommodate such workers. It is a challenge to motivate them to
perform according to organization guidelines. Putting proper incentives in place
for following organization procedures can be one of the solutions
