Your CV is a chance to sell yourself to the reader. It will often be the first interaction a
recruiter has with your profile, so as the saying goes, first impressions count!
You should see your CV as the first key to get you through the admissions process door
here at London Business School.
Your CV should emphasise that you are a strong and well-rounded applicant who will go
on to make a competitive application. As well as being factual, your CV should be a
chronological one page summary of your academic, employment and extra-curricular
activities to date.
There is not one perfect CV format; however, good CVs share similar characteristics.
Good CVs are clear, concise and easy to digest and will contain all relevant information.
Tips and Things to Remember to Help YOU Format a Good CV
-

Please use the space on the page! Use a clear font with a good readable sized text.

Please include your degree/discipline and grades!

Please convert your grades into UK format or US GPA format.

We accept a minimum of 2:1 pass in the UK format and 3.5/4.0 CGPA in the US
format.

If you have not completed your undergraduate degree, please clearly state your
predicted or expected graduation grade.

If you have done a second degree or masters, please include year of graduation and
grade and clearly state what degree it is.

Please make sure you include and elaborate on any relevant experience, however, do
keep it succinct and to the point. Remember you have a chance to elaborate on your
experience in your actual application.

Please include any language tests taken such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge CPE,
CAE or PTE Academic score, in the Additional Information section. Other English
tests will not be accepted.

Please include your GMAT/GRE on your CV. Candidates must take either the GMAT
or GRE prior to submitting an application. MFA applicants can also add their CFA
qualification.

Your CV should be formatted to one page however if this is difficult we

recommend a maximum of two pages.
