Aspects of social interaction

Introduction:
In previous days people use to visit somewhere, read books, and play something in order
to spend their leisure time. Now the time has changed. Due to enormous progress in television
and internet network and technology in these days, their habits are evolving. TV shows have
become an integral part of ones daily routine. Especially this generation is tremendously
dependent on TV soaps. Several studies found that everyday millions of people tune in to their
favorite TV shows across the world. After work people tend to return home as soon as possible to
watch their favorite shows. Hence, it has huge impact on our society.

Comprehensive of the concept of ethnocentrism:

American Idol is an American singing competition TV series. It was created by Simon
Fuller in the year of 2002. The main concept of this TV show is based on the British reality show
Pop Idol. In the history of American television industry it is the most successful show. The
concept of the show is to explore unidentified singing talents through public voting via
telephones, internet, sms. The show has employed judges to get a critical aspect of their live
performances. The prosperity of American Idol has been declared as unique in the broadcasting
history. Now it is hard to distinguish a reality television as a mixed genre. The show consists
philanthropic, equality, responsible capitalism, small-town pastoralism, self-reliance, and
national acceptance of a talent. The eagerness for espionage a clear feature from hidden-camera
mischievous act to tabloid tv shows, also makes the nation aware of certain parts of American
Idol audition procedure. As per Prez-Pereira & Conti-Ramsden (2013) the show somehow has
enormous effect on the region; spectators get some knowledge of how the recording industry

makes someone pop star from an ordinary background. They can feel the possibilities of their
own fame, the pursuit of American dream.
Cultural experience by watching the TV show:
The word culture implies progressing retention of knowledges, experience, values, and
attitude, and faith, roles obtained by a group of people through individual or group attempt.
American Idol was the first show that recognized the emotional nerve which connects people to
music. It was unequalled at making an individual connection between the artists and the
spectators. The most successful contestants appealed to an extensive forage of the American
people. The evolution of pop music can be seen in this show. Participants coming from different
states, having different cultures. Bales & Parsons (2014) they are performing in genres like pop,
rock, jazz, R&B. Across the world people are viewing them. As a result in people from different
countries, people are adopting American culture. The show also signifies a prominent case study
of how potential internet culture narrowed the distance between fans and the critics. Thus, critics
are increasing their interest into reality TV shows. For its massive success it helped in creating a
number of highly successful recording artist. The impact of American Idol was also strongly
detected in musical theatres also (Zentall & Galef, 2013).
Personal experience after visiting different countries:
Scollon (2014) America is a country of road trips and a vast open skies, where more than
five million miles of highways headed to red-rock desert. Across the fertile there is a vast wheat
fields, the sun dimmed of the Great Plains, the large rainforests of the Pacific Northwest and the
scenic beauty. As per Rubenstein & Wrangham (2014) Major cities like Las Vegas, Chicago,
Miami, Boston, New York city summon up a million dissimilar conception of cultures, food
habit, and entertainment. A close look can lead into surprising variety: The broad music scenes in

Austin, the simple attractiveness of antebellum Savannah. America is a food loving nation. On
one evening in US thick barbecue ribs and smoked brisket come piping hot at a Texas motel.
There are a large number of 1950s style diner, where plump pancakes and fried eggs disappear
beneath the jumble of cutlery. The USA has made monstrous contribution to arts. Paintings of
some famous artists wild topography, surreal collages, drip painting is a lifetime experience to
watch. Music like jazz, funk, hip-hop, country is a pleasure to hear (Diaz & Berk, 2014).

Conclusion:
Social interaction define the acts or action of two or more people commonly directed
towards each others selves. Friends writing letter to each other, seeing a movie together can be
described as a social interaction. Social interaction demands awareness of both people. Social
interaction requires a common direction. Spying on another will not be considered a social
interaction as the other person is completely unaware. However, social interaction is very
necessary in order to upgrade oneself as per the social values. Culture is highly involved in a
social interaction. Hence, it can be said social interaction has a huge part in our society.
