as agreed by Heriot-Watt University.

Section 6:

Fees, Student Numbers & Payments

Fees are reviewed annually and any changes will be required to be agreed prior to July of the next
academic session (e.g., July 2010 for year July 2010 to June 2011). Any fee adjustments will be
entered on Schedule 1 and require to be signed by both parties. A change of fees will not require a
review of the main body of the Agreement or changes to the Annexes. This applies to both changes in
fees charged to students by the Approved Learning Partner and those paid to Heriot-Watt University.

ALPs are

The Programme fee consists of a gross student fee payable by the student to the Approved Learning
Partner. The Approved Learning Partner deducts the support fee and remits the balance (the course
fee) to the Awarding Body.
All fees (gross, support and course) are as detailed below. Any change to one (or all) of these fee
amounts must be agreed by both parties prior to being charged to students. Where a change is
made, a new signed Schedule 1 must be submitted and agreed by both parties.
Approved Learning Partners can choose to either set a Gross Student Fee based on the entire stage
of the programme or, alternatively, charge per synoptic courses or individual (i.e., stand alone)
courses.

Payment method & date of payment:


The Awarding Body will invoice partners twice annually for the students who have registered for the
courses and/or the stage in the preceding six months. The Approved Learning Partner will pay
invoices within 30 days of the invoices being raised by the Awarding Body. The invoice periods for the
above programmes are: 1st April to 30th September, and, 1st October to 31st March, each year.
