World Health organization define family planning as a tool that allows
individuals especially couples to anticipate and attain their desired number of
children and spacing and timing of their births. It is said that, womans ability to
space and limit her pregnancies has a direct impact on her health and well-being

from a useful source or a knowledgeable person. Out of 21 women aged 15-49
that are aware of family planning, thirteen of them are currently using any
contraceptive means at the time of interview, while eight of them have had used
any contraceptive means before but ceases the use of it at the time of interview.
The table shows that most of the 15-49 years old women gained knowledge on
family planning through the Community (Barangay) health workers (28.57%).

Other sources of knowledge include doctors (23.81%), Mother (19.05%,

neighbor/friend (14.29%), midwife (9.52%), TV/newspaper/magazine (4.76%).
