2. Entrepreneurial competence:- cultivating the cooperation competence in pair and group work;
3. Grammatical competence:-Using correctly the verb be with There.

Operational objectives- At the end of the lesson pupils will be able:


O1- to define the new words belonging to ''My Aunts house'' topic;
O2- to practise talking about houses and furniture;
O3- to practise reading for specific information;
O4- to practise the use of There is/ There are sentences.

3. Grammatical
competence

Now, lets remember the use of the verb be


with There.
So, how will we say pe masa este o carte?
Right!
But, pe masa sunt multe carti?
Very good!
So, we use there is when we have singular
noun and there are when we have plural noun.

There is a book on the


table.
There are a lot of books on
the table.

Now, translate please in your copybooks the


sentences:
In clasa sunt trei scaune.
In clasa este o masa.
Now, how will we say in casa nu este
camin?
But, pe masa nu sunt carti?
Very good!
So, we use there isnt when we have singular
noun and we use there arent when we have
plural noun.
Translate please the following sentences:
In scoala nu sunt 8 copii.
In gradina nu este un copac.

There are three chairs in the

There is a table in the
