4B. For a given electronic circuit, the voltage (Volts), current (mA) and power (mW) are
defined by fuzzy sets:

Find a fuzzy relation between Voltage and Current and Current & Power. Hence
deduce a relation between Voltage & Power. Interpret your results.

5A. Design a simple fuzzy rule based system to simulate a nonlinear function given by
Y = 5 .The universe for input is defined as U= [-2 2] and for the output V= [0 10].
Use Mamadanis product implication for rule interpretation, min for intersection
and max for union operators.
5B. Test the above system for the following inputs: X = -1, 0 and +2 and comment on
your answers. Use centre average defuzzifier.

ii) Compute the cylindrical extensions of the projections in i) to U1U2U3U4
6B. Consider a 2-input 1-output fuzzy system that is constructed from the following
three rules:
If x1 is A1 and x2 is A2, Then y is A1
If x1 is A2 and x2 is A1, Then y is A2
If x1 and x2 are A1, Then y is A3
Where A1, A2 and A3 are fuzzy sets with membership functions:
1 u , if 1 u 1 A2 (u) 1 u 1, if 0 u 2

determine the output of the fuzzy system y* in the following cases:
i) Minimum inference engine and center average defuzzifier
ii) product inference engine and center average defuzzifier
