SNAP-IN MOBILE ANTENNAS
The SNAP-IN Range of mobile antennas is a very cost effective range of antennas that
is aimed at the user with a wide range of requirements that standard antennas can not
address satisfactorily. The user can fit any length of coaxial feed line to suit the
specific requirement for the vehicle the antenna is to be mounted on. In the event of
coaxial feed line damage it is a relatively easy and cheap replacement of just the feed
line and not the complete base as with other antenna designs. The “SNAP-IN” base
used on this antenna is where the name for this antenna comes from, and this SNAP-IN
base makes installation of this antenna very easy and a hole size of only 9.5mm is all
that is required in the body work of the vehicle to install this antenna. The SNAP-IN
antenna can be installed from the outside of the vehicle therefore saving time and
afford in not having to strip panels away prior to installation. In situations where a
more secure mounting option on the base is required and the user still want the small
and neat look of the “SNAP-IN” antenna, the “C” option can be used that has a claw
instead of the SNAP-IN fitting on the base, but the rest of the antenna is still the same.
The only penalty to pay is a hole size of 19.1mm hole is then required instead of the
9.5mm hole. The SNAP-IN antenna offers the user a neat and small option on mobile
installations, which covers the full frequency spectrum from 55 MHz. to 470 MHz. with
only two models of antennas. All individual items can be ordered separately as well.

NOTE: The SNAP-IN antenna with the “S” suffix is the unit with the SNAP-IN base.
The SNAP-IN antenna with the “C” suffix is the unit with the claw option instead of the SNAP-IN base.
