GC-MS ANALYSIS REPORT

Purpose:
The purpose of the analysis was to determine the chemical composition of Methyl
Isoeugenol 961
Summary:
Citronellal, linalool, Isopulegol compounds were detected in Methyl Isoeugenol 961

Experimental
Identity of the substance
Name of substance

: Methyl Isoeugenol 961

: 99.74 % (Trans-Methyl Isoeugenol content by GCMS)
Nature of test substance
: Liquid
Expiry Date
: September 10, 2017
Storage Conditions
: At room temperature at about 25 C
Procedure
0,2 l samples was injected into GC directly. Analysis was made on duplo
basis. Prior to sample analysis, a system blank was analyzed/ baseline.
Samples were analyzed on a Hewlett-Packard 7890A Gas Chromatograph/
Hewlett-Packard 5975C Mass Spectrometer (triple axis detector). The ion
source temperature of MS was 250 0C and quadrupole temperature was
200 0C. EM volt was 2506 V. EI was 69,9 eV and emission was 34,6 A
GC-MS Column
: 30 m X 0.25 mm X 250 m film thickness
(HP1-MS)
Flow Rate
: 0.5 ml/min, constant flow, He gases.
Detector
: Mass Detector
Injection Mode
: Split injection (split ratio : 100 : 1),
inlet temperature at 275 0C
Oven Temperature
: Start at 150oC, rate 5oC/min to 250oC and
then hold 10 minutes
Compound identities were determined with the help of the Wiley Library mass spectral
databases. The Wiley Library contains > 500,000 compounds. The spectra provided at the
end of the report include two or three parts. The top spectrum is the actual mass
spectrum of a component detected from the analysis. The middle spectrum is a reference
spectrum from a Wiley Library that is similar to the component mass spectrum.
The bottom part is the possible structure of the reference spectrum, if the structure is
available in Wiley Library.
