subcarriersfor7symbols.
ResourceElement(RE):Thesmallestunitofradioresources,onesubcarrierforonesymbol.
Slot:7consecutivesymbolsforshortCyclicPrefix,6symbolsforlongcyclicprefix.
Subframe:2consecutivetimeslots.
ReferenceSignal:Similartopilotcarrierandisusedforchannelestimationatthereceiver.
Synchronizationsignal:Therearetwosynchronizationsignals,Primaryandsecondary.Botharetransmitted
inslot0andslot10inalltheframes.Itissameaspreambleusedinearliersystemsandusedfortime,
frequencysynchronizationpurpose.
SGW:ServingGateway
MME:MobilityManagementEntity
X2interface:InterfaceusedbetweeneNodeBandeNodeB.

upperlayers.ThebasicentitiesthatmakeaphysicalchannelareREsandRBs.Aresourceelementisone
subcarrierbyoneOFDMsymbolandtypicallythiscouldcarryone(ortwowithspatialmultiplexing)modulated
symbol(s).Aresourceblockisacollectionofresourceelementsandinthefrequencydomainthisrepresentsthe
