Procedure

Method
Albumin forms a coloured complex with bromcresol
green at pH 3.9. The absorbance of this complex is
measured.

Mix and incubate for 15 minutes at +20 - +25 C.
Read absorbance against reagent blank within 1 hour.

Storage, stability
The kit is stable up to the expiry date stated when stored

Preparation and stability of solutions

Linearity

Reagent solution
The Buffer/Chromogen solution (1.) is filled up to
500 ml with redistilled water and mixed well.
Stable for

3 months stored at +2 - +8 C.

The method is linear up 60 g/l albumin concentration.

For higher concentrations this dilute the sample 1 + 1
with physiological saline solution and repeat the assay.
Multiply the result by 2.

Standard solution

Normal value

Reconstitute one vial of Standard (2.) with 3.0 ml of

distilled water. Avoid foaming.
Stable for
