Citizenship?
Citizenship is the state of being a member of a
particular social, political, or national community.
Citizenship status carries with it both rights and
responsibilities.

How does someone become a Filipino Citizen?


o By Birth
Those born of Filipino mothers or fathers.
o By Naturalization
Those who are naturalized in accordance with law.
o By Election
Those born before January 17, 1973, of Filipino mothers,
who elect Philippine Citizenship upon reaching the age of
majority.

Duties of Citizens
Duty a work that you are obliged to perform
for moral or legal reasons.

Human rights are rights and freedoms
to which all humans are entitled.
Human rights are universal and
inalienable, indivisible, interdependent, and
interrelated.

No one shall be held in slavery or servitude.
No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel,
inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
