INFORMATION HANDOUT
INTRODUCTION
This handout contains information pertaining to various aspects of the online examination being held on
18.09.2016 and important instructions. Hence, candidates are advised to study the handout carefully as it
will help them in preparing for the examination.
Details of Examination Structure & Qualifying Marks:
A. Paper 1 Departmental Subjects (On-line mode - MCQs): Total 100 marks
Paper-I consists of the following Six (06) Groups containing the Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Candidate has to first select a Group she / he prefers to answer. In all, a candidate has to choose any three (03)
groups from the given 06 Groups, for answering. Accordingly, a maximum of 120 Questions from 03 Groups will
be available to a Candidate. Out of these 120 questions ANY 100 Questions are to be attempted.
And, in case more than 100 questions are attempted, only the first 100 questions, in the order in which they are
presented to the candidate will be considered for evaluation.
Each question carries one mark. Composite Time allotted is 2 hours. There will be NO PENALTY for wrong answers.

This Examination will comprise of 02 parts:
(i) Objective Part (On-line mode - MCQs)

Passing Requirements

For General Category candidates 50 marks in each of Paper 1 & Paper 2 out of 100, with an aggregate of 120
marks out of 200 for both the papers taken together.

For SC/ST Category candidates 40 marks in each of Paper 1 & Paper 2 out of 100, with an aggregate of 100
marks out of 200 for both the papers taken together.

(B) General Instructions:

1) Please note your roll number, password, date and time given in the Call Letter/Photo Admit Card.
2) The call letter /photo admit card should be brought with you to the examination venue along with your recent
passport size photograph duly pasted on it and authenticated by the Company. You must report at the
examination venue before 09.15 A.M for Paper 1 and before 01.15 P.M for Paper 2 (with the same Call Letter
/Photo Admit Card). After writing Paper I Call Letter /Photo Admit Card is to be retained by the candidate for
Paper-2 session. Kindly note, the Call Letter /Photo Admit Card is required to be handed over to Invigilator, after
entering into the Examination Hall for Paper 2.
3) You must scrupulously follow the instructions of the Test Administrator and Venue Officer at the examination
venue. If you violate the instructions you will be disqualified and will be asked to leave the examination venue.
4) No use of calculators (separate or with watch), books, note books or written notes, cell phones (with or without
camera facility), pagers, alarm clocks, digital watches with built-in calculators/memory, scanner devices, Bluetooth
enabled devices or any other electronic device will be allowed during the examination.
5) You must carry with you, your employee identity bearing your photograph while coming for test. In case you have
not been issued the same you may bring with you any other photo identity proof (original) i.e. PAN
Card/Passport/Driving license/ Voter-ID.
6) Any candidate who is found copying or receiving or giving assistance or engaging in any behavior unbecoming of
a company officer will not be considered for assessment. The Company may take further action against such
candidates as deemed fit by it.
7) You should bring with you a ball point pen. A sheet of paper will be provided which can be used for rough work or
taking down the question number you would like to review at the end of the test before submitting your answers.

After the respective paper is over you should hand over this sheet of paper to the Test Administrator, before
leaving the venue.
8) Your responses (answers) will be analysed with other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong
answers, as per scientific / statistical techniques. If in the analytical procedure adopted in this regard, it is
inferred /concluded that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine /valid, your
candidature is liable to be cancelled. Any candidate who is found copying or receiving or giving assistance or
engaging in any behaviour unbecoming of a candidate will not be considered for assessment. Company may take
further action against such candidates as deemed fit by it.
9) The possibility for occurrences of unforeseen problem in the administration of the online examination cannot be
ruled out completely which may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In that event, every effort
will be made to rectify such problem, which may include the conduct of another examination, if so considered
necessary. Decision of the test conducting body in this regard shall be final.
10) If the examination is held in more than one session, the scores across various sessions will be equated to adjust
for slight differences in difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions. More than one session are
required if the nodes capacity is less or some technical disruption takes place at any centre or for any candidate.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
You are advised to bring with you the following:
(i) Call letter / Photo Admit Card (with duly authenticated photo affixed thereon) and photo ID card in Original
as mentioned in point 2 & 5 above.
(ii) One Ball point pen.
