INFORMATION HANDOUT
INTRODUCTION
This handout contains information pertaining to various aspects of the online examination being held on
18.09.2016 and important instructions. Hence, candidates are advised to study the handout carefully as it
will help them in preparing for the examination.
Details of Examination Structure & Qualifying Marks:
A. Paper 1 Departmental Subjects (On-line mode - MCQs): Total 100 marks
Paper-I consists of the following Six (06) Groups containing the Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Candidate has to first select a Group she / he prefers to answer. In all, a candidate has to choose any three (03)
groups from the given 06 Groups, for answering. Accordingly, a maximum of 120 Questions from 03 Groups will
be available to a Candidate. Out of these 120 questions ANY 100 Questions are to be attempted.
And, in case more than 100 questions are attempted, only the first 100 questions, in the order in which they are
presented to the candidate will be considered for evaluation.
Each question carries one mark. Composite Time allotted is 2 hours. There will be NO PENALTY for wrong answers.

There will be No penalty for wrong answers. All questions in Objective part of the Test Paper 2 are compulsory. Each
Objective Type Question carries one mark.

Questions will be displayed on the screen of the computer. Answers are to be typed on the same screen. Before
start of writing answers to questions in Descriptive Paper, please check all key functions of the keyboard.

Reporting time for candidates to be at the given venue of exam.

Passing Requirements
For General Category candidates 50 marks in each of Paper 1 & Paper 2 out of 100, with an aggregate of 120
marks out of 200 for both the papers taken together.

For SC/ST Category candidates 40 marks in each of Paper 1 & Paper 2 out of 100, with an aggregate of 100
marks out of 200 for both the papers taken together.

After the respective paper is over you should hand over this sheet of paper to the Test Administrator, before
leaving the venue.
8) Your responses (answers) will be analysed with other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong
answers, as per scientific / statistical techniques. If in the analytical procedure adopted in this regard, it is
inferred /concluded that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine /valid, your
candidature is liable to be cancelled. Any candidate who is found copying or receiving or giving assistance or
engaging in any behaviour unbecoming of a candidate will not be considered for assessment. Company may take
further action against such candidates as deemed fit by it.
9) The possibility for occurrences of unforeseen problem in the administration of the online examination cannot be
ruled out completely which may impact test delivery and/or result from being generated. In that event, every effort
will be made to rectify such problem, which may include the conduct of another examination, if so considered
necessary. Decision of the test conducting body in this regard shall be final.
10) If the examination is held in more than one session, the scores across various sessions will be equated to adjust
for slight differences in difficulty level of different test batteries used across sessions. More than one session are
required if the nodes capacity is less or some technical disruption takes place at any centre or for any candidate.
IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER
You are advised to bring with you the following:
(i) Call letter / Photo Admit Card (with duly authenticated photo affixed thereon) and photo ID card in Original
as mentioned in point 2 & 5 above.
(ii) One Ball point pen.
