IhaveaLinuxTARfilethatIwouldliketoconvertdirectlyintoanISO.Isthereawaytodothis,preferably,withouthavingtoextractthe
contentsofthefilefirst?
Thiswouldbesimilartothefollowingquestionhowever,thisisfocusedonplainorstraightuptarfilesandnotrelatedtobziporabzippedtar.
ThisisalsosomethingthatIintendedtousewithinascriptandthereasonthatIdonotwanttoextractitfirst.

filesystembuiltonFUSE.PointyourfavoriteISObuildertothedirectoryinsidethetararchive.

performancereasons,andyouhaveplentyofRAMtosparerelativetothesizeofyourtarball,
youcanextractthe.tarintoRAMusingtmpfs .Thisoptionisverylikelythefastestavailable,
unlessyou'reabletoget@bulleric'spipeapproachtoworkandyou'rereadingfromonediskand
writingtoanother.
