Title: 12/14/10 Music and Lyrics

i ask You for help in discernment while putting these feelings and
concepts together may they be led by Your Spirit... i ask You to guide
my thought so that i do not fall into error.. i have based my whole
being upon You... You are the Sure Foundation for everyman to build
his house upon... in the name of Christ i ask ... amen
i am going to be to the point... The Lord dwells within the praises of
His people...
Psa 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of
Israel.
Psa 27:6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies
round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of
joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
Psa 47:6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our
King, sing praises.
Psa 47:7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with
understanding. (sing with understanding about Him)
Psa 144:9 I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery
and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.
So music is for praising Him and He dwells in this Praise blesses us
with His life His presence in their hearts gratitude upon their lips
Now in contrast let us look upon our hearts and our lips and our minds..
what words come out of our lips when we sing here in babylon? in this
world.. what spirit inhabits our praises?
mem...
one of my favorite bands was rush i have been praying for them since i
was a teen.. i know alot of their lyrical content it is obviously not
christian nor do they claim to be... but when i was young the Lord put
a desire in my heart to seek Him so i found His truths reflected in
many things... So i would see Him in many things He works with
everything for His purposes wherever your at He will call and you will
hear His voice.. So one day i was maybe 12 i was reading rush lyrics
and wondering about the origins of story lines and references to
different character they would mention in their lyrics..
so i asked an older fellow rush fan.. ((fanatic) open eyes)... about a
character in the story line of the song... he was offended said
something bout just enjoying the music.. don\'t look into what it says
just enjoy it...
yeah right... Look into what your music is telling you... do we even
know the origin of the word..
From Greek mousik , any art presided over by the Muses
Muses? what are they? we all have some homework to do...
you think there some angels out there good and bad that give
inspiration to men to create works whether good or evil?
yeah the demand for your worship is huge these days.. last days..
we have come along way... who is the god of this world? what does he
want to take from God? worship and praise do to Him...
remember money is the root of all evil... the music industry is

huge..will show you something....

1Sa 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil
spirit from the LORD troubled him.
1Sa 16:15 And Saul\'s servants said unto him, Behold now, an evil
spirit from God troubleth thee.
1Sa 16:16 Let our lord now command thy servants, which are before
thee, to seek out a man, who is a cunning player on an harp: and it
shall come to pass, when the evil spirit from God is upon thee, that
he shall play with his hand, and thou shalt be well.
1Sa 16:17 And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that
can play well, and bring him to me.
1Sa 16:18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have
seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and
a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a
comely person, and the LORD is with him.
1Sa 16:19 Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send
me David thy son, which is with the sheep.
1Sa 16:20 And Jesse took an ass laden with bread, and a bottle of
wine, and a kid, and sent them by David his son unto Saul.
1Sa 16:21 And David came to Saul, and stood before him: and he loved
him greatly; and he became his armourbearer.
1Sa 16:22 And Saul sent to Jesse, saying, Let David, I pray thee,
stand before me; for he hath found favour in my sight.
1Sa 16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon
Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was
refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
i have some questions...
did david charge for his music...?
what effect did the Godly music have on Saul.?
do you see Christ and His atoining shadow in verse 20?
is it ok to play instruments?
who was david truly playing His music for?
who gave David his musical talent?
who does David give credit/praise to for his psalms?
does music effect our emotions?
does music with lyrics teach and instruct?
babylonian music will end... the confusion of lyrics will end...

Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

creation itself i believe worships and praises the Lord in musical
ways we have yet to understand.....
