BASED PHYSICAL THERAPY PRACTICES - A GROWING PERSPECTIVE
organized by Ziauddin college of Physical therapy,
in collaboration with Department of Continuing professional
Education.

Ms. Sumaira Imran farooqui, ( pause) associate professor and

principal, ZIAUDDIN COLLEGE OF PHYSICAL THERAPY,

EDITOR, Pakistan journal of rehabilitation and director Allied health

She has an astounding experience of more than 25 years in the
field of physical therapy,
with valuable contribution in upgradation of physical therapy
academia AND clinical services in the country
She has presented papers on both national and international
forums..

Dr. Hassan Abbas Rizvi, associate professor and principal Liaquat
national school of physical therapy,

hospital
He has an experience of two decades in the field of physical
therapy,
His area of expertise includes, pain management, physical agents
and therapeutic modalities.
On which he has presented multiple papers in national and
International conferences.

in the field of CARDIOPULMONARY PHYSICAL THERAPY
she has done her most notable work on the preventive cardiology
and Cardiac rehabilitation

DR Asim Mehmood Head of Physiotherapy Department

Institute of urology and transplantation

Sindh

He has the honour to complete his Post Graduation in Sports

Injuries from UK and Diploma in Acupuncture Therapy from
Malaysia.

He is also the Member of British and American Medical Acupuncture

Societies.

He has Worked more than 10 years in Department of Physical

therapy Aga Khan University Hospital on a Key position.

He Has played a major role in Department Education and Research

activities

and organized different clinical workshops for Physiotherapists and

faculty.

Ladies and Gentlemen, our honorable vice chancellor,
Professor Dr. Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, has more than 45 years
of experience in teaching, research and educational management.
He has served as Vice chancellor in public sector Universities of
Pakistan for over 10 years.
Besides being the former Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi
he was also the founding Vice Chancellor of the Federal Urdu
University.
Prof. Dr. Pirzada also occupies a very prominent place in the literary
circles as an intellect, writer and poet.

Mr. Muhammad Sarfaraz is an assistant professor of DOW
UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES since 2015, he has served in
many reputable institutes in Karachi
He also has the honor to be the first physical therapist to work with
Pakistan karate
federation,
He has diversified experience, BOTH in the field of physical therapy
and physical fitness with certification In CAN FIT PRO from
UNIVERSITY OF TORONTO.

He has around 15 publications in his name.

He has done his most notable work on the weight management and
fitness.

Dr. Abid Mehdi Kazmi Associate professor, Ziauddin college of

physical therapy
He has clinical experience of astounding 20 years
and he has been associated with Ziauddin Group of hospital since ,
1995,
he has around 12 publications to his credit
and is a known name in the field of physical therapy
with expertise in Manual therapy
He has done his most notable work on LYMPH DRAINAGE AND
MYOFACIAL RELEASE.
He is the principle investigator in Several studies generating most
innovative and compelling ideas for comparative effectiveness of
treatment options.
