IDENTIFYING OR FINDING OUT THE

PROBLEMS/PROSPECTS/CONTEMPORARY ISSUES OF THE CASE

We know that working effort is mostly related to the working atmosphere and
managers behavior. Since, the organization has a bullying atmosphere; the
employees effort to perform his/her duty will reduce. Following are the main
motivations which can be effected more by workplace bullying, such as: employ
desire, employ effort, employee loyalty and employee morale.

Workplace bullying can also affect the employees self-efficacy. Self-efficacy,

according to Psychologist Albert Bandura is "People's beliefs about their
capabilities to succeed in specific situations or accomplish a task."
Workplace bullying reduces the level of motivation exerted by individuals to go
beyond a level of performance than what is minimally acceptable.

We can say that individuals self-efficacy is diminished in those who are victims of

CIRCUMSTANCES PROBLEMS

The circumstances problems which we have already discussed, only occurs for
bullying in the factory or workplace. If we try to solve this problem, we must have
to work on bullying in the office or workplace. If we can reduce or remove the
bullying by seniors in workplace, we can solve the issue.

strategies. There we show the steps/strategies would be:

Most Effective Steps/Strategies:

Stay in organization to be able to get out of that situation.
Get evidence in the form of document/Image/audio/video.
Produce witnesses of the incident.
Get support from Union representatives (internal/external).
Get legal and medical help if required.
Take your evidence to the most appropriate authority inside the organization.
If that authority is involved itself or it is biased or useless then go outside
your organization for social and legal aid.
If our colleague will suffer the issue, there are the list what we supposed to suggest
him/her:

Never blame him why boss bullying him.
Help him to get witnesses and include yourself if valid.
Help him to get enough support including your own.

QUESTIONS:

1. How does workplace bullying violate the rules of organizational

justice?
Ans.

Bullying is behavior that makes someone feel intimated or offended. They violet
the rules of organizational justice. Those are dignity, concern and respect. Bullying
can happen by letters, by e-mail, by phone or face-to-face.

2. What aspects of motivation might workplace bullying reduce? For

example, are there likely to be effects on an employees self-efficacy? If
so, what might those effects be?

Ans. If we consider Hierarch of needs theory, a early theory of Motivation there

exists a hierarchy of five needs: Physiological, Safety, Social, Esteem, Selfactualization. Workplace bullying has moderate impact on Safety, Social and high
impact on Esteem, Self-actualization of aspects of motivation. By bullying an
employee there will a long last effect on self-efficacy. He or She can't drive to
become what they are capable of becoming. The victims may feel less motivated
to go to work every day, they continue performing there required job duties with
fear, some are less motivated to perform extra-role or citizenship behaviors.
Helping others, speaking positively about organization, and going beyond the call
of the duty are reduced as a result of bullying.

3. If you were a victim of workplace bullying, what steps would you take
to reduce its occurrence? What strategies would be most effective? Least
effective? What would you do if one of you colleagues were a victim?

Ans. If I were the victims of workplace bullying I will try to talk with appropriate
committee how can control bully. Most effective strategy would be increase
higher-order needs that are satisfied internally, such as social, esteem, and selfactualization needs.

4. What factors do you believe contribute to workplace bullying? Are

bullies a product of the situations, or do they have flawed personalities?
What situations and what personality factors might contribute to the
presence of bullies?

Ans. We strongly believe in-equality and comparison are the main factors
contribute to workplace bullying.

There are various reasons for which a person may bully another person in the
workplace:
Power: A person may use their position of power or their physical
dominance over those who are perceived to be weaker. The bullying is often
dependent upon the perceived power of the bully over their victim.
Self-Esteem: Bullies may put down others to boost their own self-esteem
and confidence to help deal with personal feelings of inadequacy.
Difference: An individual or group may become targets of workplace
bullying because others perceive them as being new or different.

FACTORS:
Perceived Threat: Some people bully others because the other person is
perceived as a threat to them personally, or a threat to their position within
the company
Organizational Culture: The culture of a workplace is often shown by its
values, beliefs and what is considered to be normal behavior. When the
culture is positive it encourages individuals to adopt appropriate behaviors
that promote respect of others.

Conversely, employees may find themselves in a negative culture where

inappropriate behaviors and attitudes are encouraged or condoned by
management and bullying is seen as normal behavior for the majority of
people in the workplace

RECOMMENDATION

If we wants to reduce the bullying in the work place we should talk with an
appropriate committee how can control bully. Most effective strategy would be
increase higher-order needs that are satisfied internally, such as social, esteem, and
self-actualization needs.
If we found any wrong doing behavior in boss's attitude, we must have to take a
mutual understanding to solve this issue.
If there we found any fault in workers attitude, then the boss have to be cool and
needs to motivate him/her positively, so that he/she will never make that fault
again.
If the company use that method and treat the workers positively, then the company
will run smoothly and the production rate will increase.
