Teacher Notes
Use these cards in a workstation or small group along with ten-frames
(provided) and two-color counters. Students draw a card and show the first
number on their ten-frame with one color. Then they build up to the sum
with the second color counter. In the example shown, they place two red
counters. They build up with the yellow side of the counter until they get to
5, the sum. The number of yellow counters is the missing addend.

Three printables are included for independent practice or assessment.
