From our inception, URI has recognized and honored the fundamental importance of including the wisdom and leadership of the Indigenous Peoples of the world in the work of peacebuilding. We are deeply moved by the peaceful displays of solidarity, sovereignty and strength at Standing Rock in Protecting Mother Earth and the Sacred. We offer our heartfelt affirmation of your efforts. Representatives from our Global Council will be journeying to stand alongside our sisters and brothers at Standing Rock and to share our Warm and Loving Greetings and Statement of Support.
