& Conditions - DRe1M Fund (Dana Sukarelawan 1Malaysia)



A. Eligibility Criteria

Application for Dre1M is open to a collective of individuals of at least 10 persons or a registered
non-government organisation, society, sports club or uniformed-body. The following are the
additional eligibility criteria for application to Dre1M:
1. Malaysian national;
2. Malaysian-registered legal entity with the Registry of Societies Malaysia or Registrar of
Youth;
3. For applications by a collective of individuals, the age of the individuals within the group
should be between 18 and 40 years;
4. Project scope falls within the areas approved by iM4U;
5. Location of project in Malaysia(not applicable to International Outreach);
6. Submission of project proposal based on template;
7. Acknowledgement of iM4U in project if application is approved;
8. To allow personnel from iM4U to conduct site-visit if necessary;
9. To allow participation of members of public in the project;
10. To allow contact person details, project details and photographs of project to be
uploaded by iM4U on its portal, Facebook and other social media channels authorised
by iM4U; and
11. Maximum application of 2 times per year for collective individuals.
12. Only one application can be submitted on behalf of an organisation at any one time. If
more than one application is submitted, only one of the applications will be considered
for funding.
13. Provision of further information as requested by iM4U, if required.

Organisations that are ineligible to apply will not be funded; these include but are not limited
to:
1. For-profit organisations, partnerships, research foundations or trusts, professional
associations, statutory authorities;
2. Organisations that are not legal entities.

Eligibility of Items for Funding


Funding under Dre1M can be used to purchase or fund the following:
1. Rental of venue
2. Transportation costs (not including fuel costs) for transport of volunteers to and from
project site
3. Food and beverage for volunteers
4. Lodging for volunteers
5. Training costs for volunteers that include, but are not limited to, general and mental
health first aid, leadership, communication skills, governance and/or working with
vulnerable people training courses
6. Portable equipment that are necessary for the carrying out of project (main items to be
listed)
7. Applicant is not required to list specific brand names or model numbers when applying
for item funding.

Eligible training costs include, but are not limited to:
Structured courses delivered by registered training organisations or qualified trainers,
individual or group sessions;

Accredited training courses;

Units of competency within a qualification or training package; and

Nationally recognised courses


Small equipment
Small equipment items must be portable, tangible and for the primary benefit of the
volunteers. Equipment items should not be for the exclusive benefit of the organisation, clients
and participants, or for private purposes.

The following, but not limited to, items are not eligible to be funded:
Primarily for the benefit of the organisation, clients or participants and not the
volunteers (e.g. mobile phones, sporting equipment for participants, travel, toys, tents,
backpacks)

Vehicles

Buildings, permanent fixtures and renovations

Conference and function costs

Consumables including food, books, paper, sunscreen, maps, cleaning products, toners,
soil and the refilling of gas bottles

Subscription fees (e.g. magazine), internet connection fees, mobile phone charges or
registration costs

Advertising, logos and banners, or sign-writing or branding costs for items

Bedding, sleeping bags and blanket (other than fire blankets), backpacks, hydration
packs

Clothing, uniforms and hats

Administrative costs and staff costs

Illegal items


Additional Criteria
Applicants must provide all information requested and ensure the information is complete and
accurate so your application can be assessed. Incomplete applications will not be considered for
funding. iM4U will not follow up on applications that is incomplete, illegible or incorrect. Please
keep a copy of your application for your own records.

B. Successful Applicants

Successful applicants will be emailed and asked to accept and sign the DRe1M Agreement
between the organisation or individual on behalf of the collective individuals and iM4U before
the funding is released.

C. Proof of Purchase & Record-keeping

iM4U may require the applicant to provide proof of purchase and to allow the Auditor-General
to look at your records. Original receipts are required as proof of purchase for all items.
Receipts must be retained for five years. It is the responsibility of the organisation to maintain a
complete set of records for verification purposes.

D. Post activity/project reports



Applicants are required to prepare and submit a report of activities or project (together with
original receipts) which already has been performed within one month after the project has
ended. A sample report will be provided to successful applicants through email for reference.

If the project is completed before the approval of fund is given, applicants must provide post
activity/project report for iM4U to review. However, the original application date must be
before project start date. iM4U reserves the right to revise the amount of funds to be approved
based on report provided.

E. Underutilized fund and non-allowable expenses

Any balance from the fund which is underutilized or used to purchase items not eligible to be
funded by iM4U (as listed under Section A) are required to be returned to iM4U.

F. Unsuccessful Applicants

All unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email.

G. All Rights of iM4U Reserved

iM4U reserves the right to
make all decisions on an application, which is final.
amend the Dre1M Application Guidelines by whatever means it may determine in its
absolute discretion
mark any application ineligible if it has concerns about the genuineness of the
information provided or where the application has not been submitted in the spirit of
the program.

Late applications: iM4U may reject any application lodged after the closing date. If an
application is late, iM4U may determine that there were exceptional circumstances beyond the
applicants control that meant the deadline could not be met. The applicant will need to supply
documentary evidence to support this. Any decision by iM4U to accept or not accept a late
application will be final.

H. Disclaimer

iM4U and its officers, employees, agents and advisors are not, and will not be:

responsible or liable for the accuracy or completeness of any information in or provided
in connection with the Dre1M Application Guidelines and Application Forms;
make no express or implied representation or warranty that any statement as to future
matters will prove correct;
disclaim any and all liability arising from any information provided to the applicant,
including, without limitation, errors in, or omissions contained in, that information;
except so far as liability under any statute cannot be excluded, accept no responsibility
arising in any way from errors or omissions contained in any information in the Dre1M
Application Guidelines and Application Forms; and
accept no liability for any loss or damage suffered by any person as a result of that
person, or any other person, placing reliance on the contents of the Dre1M Application
Guidelines and Application Forms, or any other information provided by iM4U.
Privacy: Any personal information you provide is protected under the Data Protection
Act. The information provided in your application will be used for the purpose of Dre1M
and may be considered as part of any future funding application or business dealings
you may have with iM4U. iM4U will not release any personal or business information to
any individual or organisation unless required by law or upon your consent.
