Ronald Reagan Student Council Senate

Membership: 30 Members Maximum


Sophomore, Junior, Senior
*You MUST be in the Senate class period (TBD)

These members will be selected by a process, which includes an


application, an interview, and teacher recommendations. All applicants
will be notified by mail of their status. Members will serve their
school for 1 school year.

Grades: 80 average
Satisfactory conduct

Officers:President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary,


Reporter, Historian, Sgt.-At-Arms, Parliamentarian,
Motivational Director, Reporter

*The officers will be elected by the Senate before the start


of the new school year. (May 2010)

room, GA 123 before school.

There will be no exceptions to the timeline!

1. Why would Senate benefit from having you as a member?

Senate would benefit from having me as a member because I am an efficient


student that can work well with others. Also I would really enjoy giving back to
my school in any way possible and with the patience and open mind that I have
I think student council would be benefited by having a hard worker as a
member.

Please list the leadership/officer positions that you have held in high school (or
in middle school if you are currently a freshman). These positions can be inside
or outside of school. Please include how these experiences will benefit student
council and Reagan.

I have mainly been involved in my church with helping others in need such as
the homeless or refugees from other countries.

2. When working with others in a group, how do you contribute? What role do
you play?

When working with others in a group, I am usually the task master. I can’t stand
when something doesn’t get done. I like to organize everything and have an
outline to make sure the group work will be complete by the deadline.

3. Do you think Reagan benefits from having a student council & why/why
not?

I do believe that Reagan benefits from having a student council. I think that
student council is for leaders and every school needs a group of leaders to do
service projects and help out around the school. Also student council
