1. Introduction
1.1
ICAO Annex 8 requires that Contracting State shall not issue or render valid a Certificate
of Airworthiness for which it intends to claim recognition pursuant to Article 33 of the Convention
on International Civil Aviation, unless the aircraft complies with:1.1.1

A comprehensive and detailed National Airworthiness Code established by the State of


Registry Or

1.1.2

A comprehensive and detailed Airworthiness Code established by any other Contracting


State.

2. Code of Airworthiness for Pakistan


2.1
Pakistan has adopted, vide ANO. No.92.0005 issue 1 dated 28-03-2000, Code of
Airworthiness of the State of Design and accordingly design standards of the State of Design will
be followed on the aircraft registered in Pakistan.
3. Applicable codes of Airworthiness
3.1
This Airworthiness Notice prescribes the Code of Airworthiness applicable on Pak
registered aircraft designed in different contracting states:-

4. Amendments
4.1
Up-to-date copy of respective Code of Airworthiness will be kept in HQ Airworthiness
Directorate.
5. Difference with ICAO SARPS
5.1
Details of differences between the respective Code of Airworthiness and ICAO SARPs
will be obtained by HQ Airworthiness and filled with ICAO where necessary.
6. Authority
6.1
This Airworthiness Notice has been issued under the authority vested in DG CAA vide
Rule 4 and 357 of Civil Aviation Rules 1994.
