Clove oil is usually produced from the leaves and flowers, while the branches of

clove actually still have potential that can be exploited. One of the latest methods
that can be used is the extraction berbantukan microwave. Excess microwave is its
ability to deliver energy directly to all materials, so they can save time compared to
conventional extraction methods. This research aims to study the effect of solvent
extraction using a microwave. The solvent used is water because it is polar so very
good at absorbing microwaves. The research variables are heavy material (75-150
grams) and volume of solvent (400-500 ml), while the selected microwave power at
264 W. Results clove oil yield of timber is best obtained by 3.89,% on volume of 500
ml of solvent to the weight of the material 150 grams.
