Infralab 710 Setup Procedure

ThissetupprocedureassumesthatthetargetcomputerisaDellOptiplexGX260,
runningwindowsXPservicepack1,ifthecomputerisdifferent,pleasecheckwith
thesoftwaredepartment,beforecontinuing.
TofollowthisprocedurehaveathandSoftwareInstallationCD108/1294301,
ApplicationsCD108/1328901andtheUserGuidePDFfileasdefinebytheorder
forexample108/1317001(tobacco),108/1322901(food).
AlsoensurethatthetwoupperswitchedontheIlabmotherboardareswitchedtothe
righthandsideasviewedfromthefront,labelledRUN.
Forinformation,theschematicbelow,showsthecommunicationsroutes/baudrates
betweenthevariousboardsintheInfralabsampler.

thewebpagerunninginthexport).
21. Oncethewebpagehasfinishedloading,selectspeedandchangeitto19200,
selectupdatesettingsandwaitforthedevicetoreboot.
22. CloseInternetExplorer.

Installing the Infralab 710 Software

1. InstallacrobatreaderfromtheInfralab710CDusingthedefaultoptions.
2. InstalltheInfralab710software,fromthesetup.exefileusingthedefault
options,butonthelastpage(aftertheprogressbarshavefinished),removethe
tickfromtheoptionthatsaysLaunchInfralab.
3. CreateashortcutfortheInfralab710softwareinthestartupdirectoryforall
userscopytheshortcutfromthedesktoptoC:\DocumentsandSettings\All
Users\StartMenu\programs\startup\.
4. Restartthecomputeritshouldautologintotheinfralabuseraccountand
automaticallyruntheInfralab710software.

Initial configuration of the Infralab 710 Software

1. IftheInfralabsoftwareisnotalreadystarted,startitviatheshortcutonthe
desktop.
2. Openupthecore,byclickingontheIElogointhesystemtray(bytheclock).
3. Fromtheserversmenu,selectE7Server>configure.

13. Presstheconnectbutton(thiswillconfigurethesoftwaretoautoconnectto
thisanalyserinthefuture).
14. Oncethesoftwarehassuccessfullyconnectedtotheanalyser,thebuttonon
thetoolbarwillchangefromNotReadytoshowingapictureoftheanalyser
andthebuttonatthebottomleftofthescreenwillchangefromDisconnected
toConnected.
15. ClosetheInfralabsoftwareandthenrestartthecomputer.
16. OncetheInfralabsoftwarehasfinishedloading,itshouldhaveautomatically
connectedtotheAnalyser(theirshouldbeapictureoftheanalyserinthe
toolbar).

Applications Installer
TheapplicationsinstallerisusedtoconfiguretheInfralabsoftwareforagiven
application(egmoistureintobacco).
1. IftheInfralab710softwareisrunningcloseitviathecrossatthetopright
handcorner.
2. FromtheinstallCDcopythefile\ApplicationsInstaller\IlabSetup.exe
ontothedesktop.NextrunIlabSetup.exefromthedesktop.
3. InserttheCDwiththeUserguideandfromthefirstdropdownbox/browser
selectthecorrectversionofthemanual(egtobaccoorfood)fromtheCDas
givenbytheorder.
4. Next,inserttheapplicationCDandfromthealgorithmsdropdown
box/browser,selectthedatabasefromtheCDthatmatchesthenameofthenvl
filerunningintheAnalyserasgivenfromtheorder.
5. ClickInstall.
6. Oncetheinstallhasfinished,clickyestoexit.
7. OpentheInfralabsoftwareagain.
8. FromthefilemenuselectRestoreDatabase
9. Enterthelevel1password(thedefaultis1111)andclickok.

ThissectiononlyappliestoorderswherealanguageotherthanEnglishhasbeen
specified.
1. Ifthesoftwareisnotalreadyrunning,startitbydoubleclickingonthe
shortcutonthedesktop.
2. FromtheToolsmenuselectoptions.
3. FromthedropdownboxontheGeneraltabandselectthecorrectlanguage.
4. Pressoktoapplythechangesandclosethedialog.
5. Thesoftwareshouldnowberunninginthenewlanguage,youcanconfirm
thisbylookingatthefilemenu.
