Businesses should not only be concerned with making profits but also with the
impacts it will have on the society. The role of every organization should not be limited in
goal-oriented activities only such as offering products or services to the general public
but also with imparting sustainable social, economic, and environmental development.
As such, Sophiatopia as an educational institution is expected to adhere with the
rules and proper custom of the society it is in. Sophiatopia is geared into providing
benefits toward various stakeholders which either directly or indirectly affected by its
decisions.
This aspect emphasizes on Sophiatopias contributions to the following area:
government, industry, society, employees and environment.

B. Towards the Government

Sophiatopia will strictly adhere to the requirements set forth by the City Social
Welfare Department of Dasmarinas and the Department of Education (DepEd) to ensure
quality and safe learning service and environment. Sophiatopias commitment to follow
the regulations of governing bodies is showing that the childrens welfare is the top
priority of the management. Also, the entity will contribute to nation-building through its
payment of taxes, permits and all other government-related fees.

C. Towards the Industry

Our business is the first in the City of Dasmarinas to offer a quality playschool
service for 2 to 4 years old which can compete with the preschools and other specialized
training institutions within the area. Though we are new entrants, the combined expertise
of the partners and the class of service that we are offering is at par with the established
playschools in other parts of the country only at a much lower rate compared to them.
Sophiatopia will make a balanced competition in the industry normally controlled by
formal schools. Also, we will make sure that we will continuously seek for improvements
on our services to meet the changing needs of the market that we serve.

D. Towards the Society

Sophiatopia will take part in the vital role of educational institutions in advocating
the importance of a good learning foundation. Everyone knows that ages 2 to 4 are
formative years when the necessary values and skills are molded. The services that will
be offered will accommodate into this need because we believe that knowledge should be
holistic. Sophiatopia aims that children will take responsibility for their every action and
that they will turn into sensible individuals in the future.

E. Towards the Employees

Establishing Sophiatopia will generate employment for nine people aside from the
partners. The management will make sure that they will be given just compensation, will
enjoy security of tenure and that their rights as employees will be given importance. The
management is also committed to maintain a healthy working environment for our
subordinates and will be assured of support in furthering their potentials through various
programs that Sophiatopia will conduct for their benefit.

F. Towards the Environment

The environmental implications of every business operations should be highly

considered. With the growing awareness on climate change as well as the increasing
clamor for businesses to go green, Sophiatopia will implement certain policies to share
in the run to save the environment. Though the nature of the business requires lesser
materials resulting to lesser waste, we will still follow proper segregation and disposal.
Likewise, equipments will be unplugged when not in use to conserve energy. Sophiatopia
will also use the opportunity to instill to the children the importance of caring for the
environment and what they can do to help even in their own little ways.
